Matthías Orri Sigurðarson
Matthías Orri Sigurðarson (born 29 September 1994) is an Icelandic basketball player, sports commentator and a former member of the Iceland men's national basketball team, Icelandic men's national basketball team. Playing career After starting his career with KR men's basketball, KR in 2010, Matthías Orri had is breakout season with ÍR men's basketball, ÍR in 2013–14 Úrvalsdeild karla (basketball), 2013–2014 when he averaged 16.8 points and 6.7 assists. In 2014–15 Úrvalsdeild karla (basketball), 2014–2015, he upped his scoring average to 19.2 points while also averaging 5.9 assists and 5.6 rebounds. ''Morgunblaðið'' (, ''The Morning Paper'') is an Icelandic daily newspaper. ''Morgunblaðið''s website, mbl.is, is the most popular website in Iceland. It is currently the country's only daily printed newspaper and the newspaper of record. Stöð 2, literally Station 2, was an Icelandic subscription television channel. Founded in 1986, it was the first privately owned television station in Iceland following the lifting of the state monopoly on television broadcasting. Jakob Sigurðarson
Jakob Örn Sigurðarson (born 4 April 1982) is an Icelandic basketball coach and former player. He was named the Icelandic men's basketball player of the year in 2011. Jakob won the Icelandic championship in 2000 and 2009, and the Swedish championship in 2011. College career He played his senior year of high school in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and played basketball at Birmingham-Southern College, Alabama. Playing career Jakob played in Sweden for 10 years, first with Sundsvall Dragons from 2009-2015 and then with Borås Basket until 2019. In May 2019, Jakob returned Iceland and signed with KR along with his brother Matthías Orri Sigurðarson.
