Podgorica
Podgorica ( cnr-Cyrl, Подгорица; ) is the Capital city, capital and List of cities and towns in Montenegro, largest city of Montenegro. The city is just north of Lake Skadar and close to coastal destinations on the Adriatic Sea. Historically, it was Podgorica's position at the confluence of the Ribnica (Morača), Ribnica and Morača River, Morača rivers and at the meeting-point of the fertile Zeta Plain and Bjelopavlići Valley that encouraged settlement. 2018–19 Montenegrin Second League
The 2018–19 Montenegrin Second League was the 13th season since the establishment of the Montenegrin Second League. The season ran from 12 August 2018 to May 2019. That was the first season with 10 participants. Format of competition A total of 10 teams participated in this edition of the Second League. The new members were FK Kom and FK Dečić who was relegated from 2017–18 Montenegrin First League, and winners of Montenegrin Third League playoffs - FK Arsenal Tivat. This was the first season of Second CFL with 10 participants. At the end of the season, worst-placed team on the table would be directly relegated to the Montenegrin Third League. The 2022–23 Montenegrin First League was the 17th season of the first tier association football in the country of Montenegro. The season began on 23 July 2022 and ended on 25 May 2023. The winners of the league qualified for a place in the 2023–24 UEFA Champions League. Sutjeska were the defending champions having won the league in the previous season. Teams FK Podgorica (relegated after three years in the top flight) and Zeta (never relegated from the top flight)(relegated after sixteen years in the top flight) were relegated after finishing tenth in the previous season.
