2018–19 Montenegrin Second League
The 2018–19 Montenegrin Second League was the 13th season since the establishment of the Montenegrin Second League. The season ran from 12 August 2018 to May 2019. That was the first season with 10 participants. Format of competition A total of 10 teams participated in this edition of the Second League. The new members were FK Kom and FK Dečić who was relegated from 2017–18 Montenegrin First League, and winners of Montenegrin Third League playoffs - FK Arsenal Tivat. This was the first season of Second CFL with 10 participants. At the end of the season, worst-placed team on the table would be directly relegated to the Montenegrin Third League. The Montenegrin Second League (Montenegrin language, Montenegrin: ''Druga crnogorska fudbalska liga'' – ''Druga CFL'' – ''2. CFL'') is the second-top Association football, football league in Montenegro. It is headed by the Football Association of Montenegro. Second Montenegrin League consists of 10 participants. The top team qualifies for the First League of Montenegro, the second and third one contest in a playoff match against the 8th and 9th team from the First League, while the bottom-placed two teams are relegated to any of the three Montenegrin Third League, third-tier leagues, to be replaced by the two winners of a three-way promotion playoffs, contested by the winners of the three Third League divisions. Tivat
Tivat (Serbo-Croatian: Tivat/Тиват, ) is a town in Coastal region of Montenegro, located in the Bay of Kotor. , its population was 9,367. Bijelo Polje
Bijelo Polje (Cyrillic script, Cyrillic: Бијело Поље, ) is a town located in the Northern Montenegro, Northern Region of Montenegro, situated along Lim (river), Lim River. It has an urban population of 12,900 (2011 census). It is the administrative, economic, cultural and educational centre of northern Montenegro. Bijelo Polje is the center of Bijelo Polje Municipality (population of 38,662). Bijelo Polje means 'white field' in Serbo-Croatian. Stadion Solila
Stadion Solila is a football stadium in Igalo, Herceg Novi municipality, Montenegro. It is used mostly for football matches and is the home ground of FK Igalo. The stadium holds 1,600 seats. History Until the middle of the 1990s, the football ground in Igalo was among amateur-pitches like neighbouring Stadion Opačica or Stadion Bijela. But, with FK Igalo's promotion to the Second Yugoslav League, a new stadium was built on the old location with one terrace and numerous pitches around the main ground. Igalo
Igalo (, ) is a small town in the Herceg Novi Municipality of Montenegro. It is accessible via the E65/ E80 north headed to Dubrovnik, Croatia. According to the 2011 Census, it has a population of 3,355. The town adjoins Herceg Novi and is administratively divided leaving no clear division between the towns. Overview Located on the slopes of Mount Orjen, Igalo is regionally famous for the "DR Simo Milošević" Institute, a Mediterranean themed health spa which formerly attracted many tourists. Stadion Tuško Polje
Stadium Tuško Polje is a football stadium in Tuzi, Podgorica, Montenegro. It is used for football matches and is the home ground of FK Dečić. History During the decades, at location Tuško Polje existed football pitch which didn't meet criteria for official games. So, FK Dečić, a football club from Tuzi, played their home games in Podgorica or Golubovci. But in 2006, a new stadium was built. The first game played at Stadium Tuško Polje was played on 19 August 2006. At second week of the 2006-07 Montenegrin First League, FK Dečić hosted Montenegrin strongest side FK Budućnost (0-3) in front of 3,000 spectators. That was a record attendance at Stadium Tuško Polje. The stadium was renovated several times, so today it has a capacity of 2,000 seats on two stands. Tuzi
Tuzi (, ; or ''Tuzi'') is a small town in the central region of Montenegro, and the seat of Tuzi Municipality. It is located along a main road between the city of Podgorica and the Albanian border crossing, just a few kilometers north of Lake Skadar. The Church of St. Anthony and Qazimbeg's Mosque are located in the centre of the town. Stadion Pod Vrmcem
Stadion Pod Vrmcem is a football stadium in Kotor, Montenegro. It is used mostly for football matches and is the home ground of FK Bokelj. The stadium holds 1,000 people. History The first football ground in Kotor was situated at Rakite suburb, near the Adriatic coast. At the same location, after 1945, a new ground was built. The stadium was renovated few times. It's situated near the beach in Bay of Kotor and it's the home ground of FK Bokelj. Except Bokelj's matches, at the Stadion pod Vrmcem, every year is playing final match of Nikša Bućin Cup, competition for Third League clubs from south Montenegro. The stadium has one stand, with a capacity of 500 seats. Pitch and conditions The pitch measures 110 x 70 meters. The stadium didn't met UEFA criteria for European competitions. Kotor
Kotor (Cyrillic script, Cyrillic: Котор, ), historically known as Cattaro (from Italian language, Italian: ), is a town in Coastal Montenegro, Coastal region of Montenegro. It is located in a secluded part of the Bay of Kotor. The city has a population of 13,347 and is the administrative center of Kotor Municipality. Berane City Stadium ( Montenegrin: Gradski stadion Berane/Градски стадион Беране) is a multi-purpose stadium in Berane, Montenegro. Also known as Stadion pod Bogavskim brdom, it is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home ground of FK Berane and FK Radnički. Also it serves as home ground of Athletic Club Lim.
