Marica (mythology)
In Roman mythology, Marica was a nymph, the mother of Latinus. Latinus was fathered by Faunus, who was also occasionally referred to as the son of Marica. The sacred forest near Minturnae was dedicated to Marica. A lake nearby was also named after her. Marica Josimčević
Marica Josimčević ( Serbian-Cyrillic: Марица Јосимчевић; born 12 May 1946 in Belgrade, SFR Yugoslavia) is a Serbian writer and translator. Biography Marica Josimčević grew up in his native place, attended the Ninth Belgrade Gymnasium in New Belgrade city quarter and graduated with maturity diploma in 1965, then she began studying Spanish and English languages and literatures at the Philosophical Faculty of Belgrade's University and graduated with diploma in 1969. After her studies, she worked as translator for Aviogenex (1970–73) and Energoprojekt (1973-1980). During these years, she travelled to Latin America and spent some time in Colombia (1973), Panama (1974) and Mexico (1980). She started her career as freelance writer in 1980, and from 1993 to 2001, she worked as literary editor for the publishing companies DBR and Verzal Press in Belgrade, which no longer exist today. Marica (Marija) Stanković (born Vragović; 31 December 1900 – 8 October 1957), known as "Sister Marica" (), was a Croatian school teacher, writer, Catholic Laity, layperson and founder of the Associates of Christ the King (''Suradnice Krista Kralja''). Marica Nadlišek Bartol (February 10, 1867 – January 3, 1940) was a Slovenian writer and editor. From 1897 to 1899, she served as founding editor of the influential women's journal ''Slovenka''. Forced to flee her home city of Trieste in 1919 after the Italian takeover, she settled in Ljubljana and resumed her Slovenian nationalist and feminist writing and activism, which had been cut short by her marriage two decades earlier. Maricá, Rio De Janeiro
Maricá () is a municipality located in the Brazilian state of Rio de Janeiro. It is located in the Greater Niterói region (or Metropolitan East), bordering Itaboraí, São Gonçalo, Rio Bonito, Niterói, Saquarema and Tanguá. The municipal territory extends over 361.572 km² and is divided into four districts: Maricá (headquarters), Ponta Negra, Inoã and Itaipuaçu.
