Marcus Westfält
Marcus Westfält (born 12 March 2000) is a Swedish professional ice hockey forward who currently plays under contract to Timrå IK of the Swedish Hockey League (SHL). Playing career Westfält first played as a youth with Vallentuna BK in the Hockeyettan before continuing his junior career with Brynäs IF. On 1 December 2017, he was signed to a four-year contract extension to continue his development with Brynäs IF. He made his Swedish Hockey League debut in the 2017–18 season, appearing in a depth role over 31 games for 4 points. Westfält was drafted by the Philadelphia Flyers in the seventh round, 205th overall, in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft. In the following 2018–19 season, Westfält posted an assist in 19 appearances in the SHL, before he was loaned to Karlskrona HK of the HockeyAllsvenskan for the remainder of the season on 3 January 2019. Timrå IK
Timrå IK is a professional Swedish ice hockey team based in Timrå, north of Sundsvall. It competes in the Swedish Hockey League (SHL), which is the top-tier league in Sweden, since being promoted by winning 2021 SHL qualifiers. Previous seasons in the top Swedish division include 1956–57 to 1975–76, 1977–78, 1981–82, 2000–01 to 2012–13 and 2018–19. The team's home venue is Timrå Isstadion with a capacity of 6,000 spectators. The club was founded on 11 Maj 1928 as a boxing club and started the ice hockey section in 1937. Västerviks Ishockeyklubb (English language, English: ''Vasterviks Ice hockey club'') – commonly known as Västerviks IK or VIK – is a Professional sports, professional ice hockey team based in Västervik, Sweden. The 2020–21 HockeyAllsvenskan season was the 16th season that the second tier of Swedish ice hockey operated under that name. The series consisted of 14 teams playing a regular season in which each team played each other team four times, twice at home and twice away. This is followed by a series of promotion and relegation tournaments, with the teams finishing first through tenth participating in promotion playoffs, and the teams finishing 13th and 14th forced to requalify to avoid relegation to the Hockeyettan. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic no promotion took place after the previous season; Karlskrona HK were however relegated after being denied their mandatory elite license and Väsby IK HK were promoted in their place. HockeyAllsvenskan (previously Allsvenskan and SuperAllsvenskan) is a professional ice hockey sports league, league, and the second-highest league in the Swedish ice hockey system, after the Swedish Hockey League, SHL. J20 SuperElit
J20 Nationell is a junior ice hockey league composed of 20 teams in Sweden. Previously known as the J20 SuperElit, it is the highest-level junior ice hockey league in Sweden. The teams are divided in two groups, or divisions, ''Norra'' (North) and ''Södra'' (South), and are usually associated with a professional team in either the Swedish Hockey League (SHL) or HockeyAllsvenskan in order to develop talented youth for the professional teams. The winning team of the J20 Nationell playoffs is awarded the Anton Cup. Game format Each J20 Nationell game is an ice hockey game played between two teams and is 60 minutes long. 2015–16 Hockeyettan Season
The 2015–16 Hockeyettan season is the second season that the third tier of ice hockey in Sweden has been organized under that name. The regular season began on 20 September 2015 and end on 14 February 2016, to be followed by promotion and relegation playoffs. Format The clubs meet each team from their starting groups twice, home and away. The top four teams from each group form two new groups of eight. Teams 1–4 from Hockeyettan North and East form Allettan North, while teams 1–4 from Hockeyettan South and West form Allettan West. Each of these Allettan groups then plays an additional home-and-away series. Meanwhile, the remaining eight teams in each starting group play each other again in a continuation series. Penalty (ice Hockey)
A penalty in ice hockey is a punishment for an infringement of the rules. Most penalties are enforced by sending the offending player to a penalty box for a set number of minutes. During the penalty the player may not participate in play. The offending team may not replace the player on the ice (although there are some exceptions, such as fighting), leaving them short handed, short-handed as opposed to full strength. In ice hockey, an assist is attributed to up to two players of the scoring team who shot, passed or deflected the Puck (sports)#In ice hockey, puck towards the scoring teammate, or touched it in any other way which enabled the Goal (ice hockey), goal, meaning that they were "assisting" in the goal. In ice hockey, a goal is scored when the puck entirely crosses the goal line between the two goal posts and below the goal crossbar.
