Västerviks Ishockeyklubb (English language, English: ''Vasterviks Ice hockey club'') – commonly known as Västerviks IK or VIK – is a Professional sports, professional ice hockey team based in Västervik, Sweden. They currently play in the second-highest league in Swedish ice hockey system, HockeyAllsvenskan. The club had spent decades Yo-yo club, yo-yoing between the third and fourth tiers of Ice hockey in Sweden, Swedish ice hockey, Hockeyettan, Division 1 and HockeytvÃ¥an, Division 2, before securing promotion on March 31, 2016, to HockeyAllsvenskan for the 2016–17 HockeyAllsvenskan season, 2016–17 season. 2020–21 HockeyAllsvenskan Season
The 2020–21 HockeyAllsvenskan season was the 16th season that the second tier of Swedish ice hockey operated under that name. The series consisted of 14 teams playing a regular season in which each team played each other team four times, twice at home and twice away. This is followed by a series of promotion and relegation tournaments, with the teams finishing first through tenth participating in promotion playoffs, and the teams finishing 13th and 14th forced to requalify to avoid relegation to the Hockeyettan. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic no promotion took place after the previous season; Karlskrona HK were however relegated after being denied their mandatory elite license and Väsby IK HK were promoted in their place. HC Vita Hästen is a Swedish hockey club, based in Norrköping, which was founded following the bankruptcy of a previous club called IK Vita Hästen. The team plays in HockeyTrean, the fifth tier of the Swedish ice hockey system, as of the 2023–24 season. The current team was founded as Norrköping Hockey immediately following the bankruptcy of the previous club. Norrköping Hockey soon merged with Skärblacka IF to form NSH-96, which soon thereafter took the name Hästen Hockey. Idrottsklubben Sleipner is a sports club in Norrköping, Sweden; the main sports are football and ten-pin bowling. It was founded in 1903, and named after the deity Odin's horse Sleipnir from Norse mythology. Currently, the club's senior men's team plays football in Division 2.
