The Mandanr, also known as Mandar or Mandan are a Pashtun tribe who are a branch of the larger Yusufzai tribe of Pashtuns in Afghanistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Abakhel
Aba Khel is a subtribe of the Mandanr Pashtun tribe. Their settlements are located mainly in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan, and include the villages of Zaida, Kaddi, Hund, Shah Mansur, Khunda, Ambar, Panjpir, Beka, Aryan, Lahor, Kheshgi Nowshera Kalan (in the Nowshera District), and Ragastoon. Lineage Aba Khel are descendents of the Mandanr tribe. Mandanr had four sons, Mano, Hazar, Razar, and Mahmoud. Mano had two sons, Usman and Utman. Usman had two sons, Amanzai and Kamalzai. Utman had four sons, Akkazai, Sadozai, Alizai and Kannazai. The descendants of Utman's son Sadozai are called Sadu Zais who were further divided into five families including Aba Khel, Umar Khel, Khadu Khel, Mir Ahmad Khel and Behzad Khel. Yusufzai
The Yusufzai or Yousafzai (, ), also referred to as the Esapzai (, ), or Yusufzai Afghans historically, are one of the largest tribes of Pashtuns. They are natively based in the northern part of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa ( Malakand, Dir, Swat, Shangla, Buner, Swabi, Mardan, Bajaur, Peshawar, Tor Ghar), to which they migrated from Kabul during the 16th century, but they are also present in parts of Afghanistan, including Kunar, Kabul, Kandahar and Farah. Outside of these countries, they can be found in Ghoriwala District Bannu (Mughal Khel), Balochistan Sibi (Akazai), Chagai (Hassanzai) and Rohilkandh. Malak Ahmad Khan Yusufzai
Malak Ahmad Khan Yusufzai (1460–1530), also known as Malik Ahmad Baba, was an Pashtun chief and warrior from the Razar-Mandanr clan of the Yousafzai. He is known for his role in the Yousafzai conquest of Swat, Malakand and Lower Dir. Under him, the Yusufzai fought the Dilazaks and Sultan Awais Jahangiri Swati for the control of northern territories in the Dardistan region. The Dilzaks had initially given refuge to the Yusufzai before they were driven out by them. After being expelled, Malak Ahmad Khan replaced his uncle Malak Suleiman Shah as the chief of the Yusufzai. To gain a foothold in Swat, Malak Ahmed Khan established family ties through his sister named Shahida Bibi in marriage to Sultan Awais Jahangiri Swati and as soon as opportunity offered by Bibi, Yousafzais assembled their forces and attacked Swat. Najib Ad-Dawlah
Najib ad-Dawlah (), also known as (), was an Afghan Yousafzai Rohilla who earlier served as a Mughal serviceman but later deserted the cause of the Mughals and joined Ahmad Shah Abdali in 1757 in his attack on Delhi. He was also a House Chief of Rohilkhand, and in the 1740s founded the city of Najibabad in Bijnor, India. He was instrumental in winning the Third Battle of Panipat and has been regarded as one of the greatest generals of India in the 18th century. He began his career in 1743 as an immigrant from Maneri, Swabi (of the Umarkhel subbranch of Mandanr Yousafzais) as a soldier. Buner District
Buner District (, ) is a district in the Malakand Division of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. Before receiving the status of a district in 1991, it was a tehsil within Swat District. Buner's elevation starts at 1200 ft in the South in Totalai and reaches a maximum height of 9,550 ft at the Dosara Peak in the North. Battle Of The Malandari Pass (1586)
The Battle of the Malandari Pass was fought on 16 February 1586 in what is now the Buner District in Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province. The army of the Mughal Empire, led by Raja Birbal, was attacked by Afghan Yusufzai tribesmen, led by Malik Kalu Khan Yousafzai. It was one of the greatest defeats of Mughal history and under the reign of Akbar the Great Birbal is believed to have died in the battle alongside 8,000 to 50,000 Mughal soldiers. Kalu Khan Yusufzai (Pashto: کالو خان یوسفزئی) was an Afghan warrior and military leader in the 16th century who inflicted one of the greatest defeats of the Mughal Empire. Gaju Khan
Malak Gaju Khan Yousafzai (), also spelled Gajju Khan or Gajo Khan Yousafzai, popularly known as Khan Al Khawanin or Khan of Khans, was a Pashtun ruler and military commander from Yousafzai chieftaincy.
