MTV Türkiye
MTV Türkiye was a Turkish pay-television channel owned by Paramount. It launched on October 23, 2006. History Launch MTV Türkiye's opening party was held on 17 November 2006 in Istanbul, with a Pussycat Dolls performance. It was officially launched on October 23, 2006. The first broadcast of the channel was Nil Karaibrahimgil's music video ''Peri''. Digiturk and MTVNI MTV Turkey was removed from Digiturk on May 22 to 23, 2010 with no reason given to the customers, which caused a small controversy amongst customers. On June 20, 2010, it was reported that MTV Networks International cancelled Multichannel Developers's (the company that operated MTV Turkiye) licence a month ago. On the same day, MTV Turkiye's website closed with a text saying that their new site will be available as soon as possible. Much is a Canadian English language discretionary specialty channel owned by BCE Inc. through its Bell Media subsidiary that airs programming aimed at teenagers and young adults. It is headquartered at 299 Queen Street West in what was once called the MuchMusic World Headquarters. This channel was originally launched on August 31, 1984 as MuchMusic, under the ownership of CHUM Limited, the owner of Citytv Toronto, though "Much" has been the branding most commonly seen on-air since 1997. The Sonisphere Festival was a touring rock music festival which took place across Europe between the months of June and August. The festival was owned by John Jackson and Kilimanjaro Live. It was jointly promoted by K2 and Kilimanjaro Live. It hosted heavy metal music, heavy metal bands such as Iron Maiden, Metallica, Mötley Crüe, Slayer, Judas Priest, Megadeth, Avenged Sevenfold and Babymetal (the latter group would make their UK debut at the 2014 event).
