Viva (TV Station)
Viva (stylized VIVA, but not an acronym according to program director Dieter Gorny) was a German free-to-air Music television, music television channel, first broadcast on 1 December 1993. The channel was intended to compete against MTV Europe and was the sole German-language music TV channel after the closure of musicbox (German TV channel), musicbox in 1988, while MTV was only broadcast in English until the introduction of MTV (Germany), MTV Germany in 1997. It was also supposed to focus more on German music and pop culture while MTV only broadcast anglophone music by artists primarily from North America, the United Kingdom, Ireland and Australia. After years of competition for audience share, Viacom International Media Networks (Europe), MTV Networks Europe eventually acquired VIVA on January 14, 2005, after it had exhausted its own efforts for superior ratings. 1080i
In high-definition television (HDTV) and video display technology, 1080i is a video display format with 1080 lines of vertical resolution and Interlaced video, interlaced scanning method. This format was once a standard in HDTV. It was particularly used for broadcast television because it can deliver high-resolution images without needing excessive bandwidth. This format is used in the SMPTE 292M standard. Definition The number "1080" in 1080i refers to the number of horizontal lines that make up the vertical resolution of the display. Each of these lines contributes to the overall detail and clarity of the image. The letter "i" stands for Interlaced video, interlaced. Hannes Rossacher
Hannes Rossacher (born 16 October 1952, Steyr) is an Austrian film director and film producer. Rossacher has worked with Rudi Dolezal since 1976 in their production company DoRo Productions. His contributions to the ORF (broadcaster), ORF youth program "Ohne Maulkorb" were among his first major assignments. With the bankruptcy of DoRo Productions in 2003, Dolezal and Rossacher have separated and went their own ways. Peter Bogner (born 1964 in West Germany) is a German-American former media executive who is the founder and current president of GISAID, a platform for rapid sharing of genomic sequences of emerging viruses, such as influenza and SARS-CoV-2. Early life Bogner emigrated from West Germany to the United States in the early 1980s. According to a piece published by ''Science'', in 1986 he was charged with two counts of securities fraud by the Los Angeles district attorney's office: "making false statements in the sales of securities and selling them without permission".
