MTV România
MTV România was a Romanian pay television channel that was launched on 15 June 2002 as the 10th regional channel of MTV in Europe (and second eastern European after MTV Poland) with a big concert ceremony performed by Enrique Iglesias on Lia Manoliu Stadium. It took the broadcast license previously used by MCM România, which was a franchise of the French music channel MCM. On March 1, 2019, at midnight, MTV Romania was closed down and replaced by MTV Europe with Romanian subtitles and local advertising. The final song to be played on the channel was '' I Did It, Mama!'' by Alexandra Stan. Programming 2002–2007 Several shows are made locally, featuring Romanian music and artists. Some of the most popular shows on the channel are the Romanian version of ''Total Request Live'', ''Hitlist Romania'' and ''Dance Floor Chart''. ''Daria'' is an American adult animation, adult animated sitcom television series created by Glenn Eichler and Susie Lewis, Susie Lewis Lynn. The series ran from March 3, 1997, to January 21, 2002, on MTV. It centers on the titular character, Daria Morgendorffer, an intelligent, Cynicism (contemporary), cynical high school student, voiced by Tracy Grandstaff, who had voiced the character in Mike Judge's earlier animated series, ''Beavis and Butt-Head''. Lescott Kevin Lyttle Coombs (born 14 September 1976) is a Vincentian soca singer. He is best known for his 2003 hit single " Turn Me On," which peaked at number four on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100. Career Lyttle was encouraged by his family to pursue music at the young age and has been performing at local events in his teens. Prior to his musical career, Lyttle had subsisted on day jobs, such as customs officer and radio disc jockey. Investing his savings of EC$1,500, Lyttle recorded " Turn Me On" as a soca ballad in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines in 2001, and the song subsequently became a radio hit throughout the Caribbean. Lyttle signed with Atlantic Records in 2003 and a remixed version of "Turn Me On" was officially released as a single in the UK at the end of the year, with dancehall pop artist Spragga Benz's guest vocals. Scooter is a German happy hardcore, Rave music, rave and techno music band founded in Hamburg in 1993. To date, the band has sold over 30 million records and earned over 80 Gold and Platinum awards. Sugababes
The Sugababes are an English girl group composed of Mutya Buena, Keisha Buchanan, and Siobhán Donaghy. The lineup changed three times before returning to the original lineup in 2011. Formed in 1998 by Ron Tom, the manager of All Saints, Sugababes released their debut album, '' One Touch,'' through London Records in November 2000. It achieved moderate success and produced the top-ten single " Overload". In 2001, Donaghy was replaced by Heidi Range. The MTV Video Music Awards (commonly abbreviated as the VMAs) is an award show presented by the cable channel MTV to honor the best in the music video medium. Originally conceived as an alternative to the Grammy Awards (in the video category), the annual MTV Video Music Awards ceremony has often been called the Super Bowl for youth, an acknowledgment of the VMA ceremony's ability to draw millions of youth from teens to 20-somethings each year. Calea Victoriei (''Victory Avenue'') is a major avenue in central Bucharest. ''Superock'' is a music television show that focuses on rock music, heavy metal music, alternative rock and alternative rap. History ''Superock'' first aired on MTV in the US on February 18, 1995 and it replaced the long running ''Headbangers Ball'' show.
