Longueville-sur-Scie (, literally ''Longueville on Scie'') is a commune in the Seine-Maritime department in the Normandy region in northern France. Geography A farming village situated by the banks of the river Scie in the Pays de Caux, some south of Dieppe at the junction of the D77, the D149 and the D3 roads. The commune is served by the TER railway between Dieppe and Rouen. Longueville, New South Wales
Longueville is a suburb on the Lower North Shore of Sydney, New South Wales, 8 kilometres north-west of the Sydney central business district, in the local government area of the Municipality of Lane Cove. Longueville is a small residential suburb on the peninsula between Tambourine Bay and Woodford Bay, on the banks of the Lane Cove River. Originally a home to manufacturing industries, the suburb had its beginnings as a residential area in the 1870s. Longueville was officially proclaimed a suburb in the 1920s. Before settlement, Longueville was the home of the Cam-mer-ray-gal people of the Ku-ring-gai Aboriginal Tribe. Count of Longueville is a French noble title, whose holder had the fiefdom of the County of Longueville. The County was erected into a Duchy in 1505. Origins The Lordship of Longueville was a fief that belonged to the Giffard family. Duke of Longueville (''Longueville-sur-Scie'') was a title of French nobility, though not a peerage of France. History The title was created in 1505 by King Louis XII of France for his first cousin once removed, François d'Orléans, Count of Dunois, son of François d'Orléans, Count of Dunois, son of Jean d'Orléans, himself an illegitimate son of the Duke of Orléans. The title became extinct in 1694, following the death of Jean Louis Charles d'Orléans, who was the brother of Marie de Nemours. From 1648, the Duke of Longueville was also Sovereign Prince of Neuchâtel, a Swiss territory. In 1654, the eighth duke was created a peer as Duke of Coulommiers, but the peerage was never registered and so became extinct at his death. Château Pichon Longueville Baron or Château Longueville au Baron de Pichon-Longueville (commonly referred to as Pichon Baron) is a winery in the Pauillac appellation of the Bordeaux region of France. Château Pichon Longueville Baron is also the name of the red wine produced by this property. The wine produced here was classified as one of fifteen ''Deuxièmes Crus'' (Second Growths) in the original Bordeaux Wine Official Classification of 1855. History Château Pichon Baron was once part of a larger estate, owned by Pierre de Rauzan, along with Château Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande. In 1850 the estate was divided into the two current Pichon estates. In 1987 the estate was purchased by French insurance company AXA, who immediately appointed Jean-Michel Cazes of Château Lynch-Bages as administrator.
