Lạch Tray Stadium
The Lạch Tray Stadium is a multi-use stadium in Hai Phong, Vietnam. It is currently used mostly for association football matches and is the home stadium of the V.League 1 club Hải Phòng F.C., Hải Phòng. The stadium holds 30,000 spectators after renovation in 2021. History Lach Tray Stadium was built in 1957 from a horse farm (a yard with land of Lach Tray Equestrian Club). One year later, on the evening of January 1, 1958, the first international football match took place at Lach Tray Stadium between Hai Phong Football Club and a Chinese side that ended in a 2-0 win for the hosts. In 1959, the stands were replaced by cement and covered roofs in the stands. Hai Phong
Haiphong or Hai Phong (, ) is the third-largest city in Vietnam and is the principal port city of the Red River Delta. The municipality has an area of , consisting of 8 urban districts, 6 rural districts and 1 municipal city (sub-city). Haiphong Football Club (), simply known as Hải Phòng, is a Vietnamese professional football club based in Haiphong. Haiphong is one of the most successful football teams in Vietnam with 13 major titles, including 10 North Vietnam national titles and 3 Vietnamese Cup titles. The 2004 AFF Championship (officially known as the 2004 Tiger Cup for sponsorship reasons) was the 5th edition of the AFF Championship, the football championship of nations affiliated to the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF), and the last time under the name Tiger Cup. This was the first time a new format had been applied.
