Hải Phòng FC
Haiphong Football Club (), simply known as Hải Phòng, is a Vietnamese professional football club based in Haiphong. Haiphong is one of the most successful football teams in Vietnam with 13 major titles, including 10 North Vietnam national titles and 3 Vietnamese Cup titles. They are currently playing in V.League 1 and their home ground is Lach Tray Stadium. The club is considered to have originated from its predecessor, the Haiphong Port Football Team. It is the only team in the city of Haiphong that survived after government subsidies were removed. History In 1906, football was brought to North Vietnam by the French during the colonization. Lạch Tray Stadium
The Lạch Tray Stadium is a multi-use stadium in Hai Phong, Vietnam. It is currently used mostly for association football matches and is the home stadium of the V.League 1 club Hải Phòng F.C., Hải Phòng. The stadium holds 30,000 spectators after renovation in 2021. History Lach Tray Stadium was built in 1957 from a horse farm (a yard with land of Lach Tray Equestrian Club). One year later, on the evening of January 1, 1958, the first international football match took place at Lach Tray Stadium between Hai Phong Football Club and a Chinese side that ended in a 2-0 win for the hosts. In 1959, the stands were replaced by cement and covered roofs in the stands. Hai Phong
Haiphong or Hai Phong (, ) is the third-largest city in Vietnam and is the principal port city of the Red River Delta. The municipality has an area of , consisting of 8 urban districts, 6 rural districts and 1 municipal city (sub-city). Two of the rural districts cover islands in the South China Sea: Bạch Long Vĩ and Cát Hải. It has a population of 2,130,898 in 2023. The city's economy has strength in manufacturing, as evidenced by large industrial parks and numerous smaller traditional handicraft villages. The 2013 V.League 1 (known as the ''Eximbank V.League 1'' for sponsorship reasons) season was the 30th season of Vietnam's national football league and the 13th as a professional league. 2010 V-League
The 2010 V-League season was the 27th season of Vietnam's national football league and the 10th as a professional league. The league and cup winners would enter the 2011 AFC Cup. The bottom side at the end of the season get relegated. The side that finishes 2ND from bottom enters an end of season play-off match against the 2nd Division's 2nd placed side. Teams Ho Chi Minh City and Thanh Hóa were relegated to the 2010 Vietnam First Division after finishing the 2009 season in the bottom two places. The two relegated teams were replaced by 2009 Vietnam First Division champions XM The Vissai Ninh Bình and runners-up Hòa Phát Hà Nội. Nam Định defeated Thành phố Cần Thơ in the end of season promotion/relegation match to secure their place in the V. League. The 2008 V-League was the 25th season of Vietnam's national football league and the 8th as a professional league. The league was held from January 6, 2008 to August 24, 2008. Petro Vietnam was the league sponsor for the second season (Since 2007). Bình Dương F.C. won their second titles in this season. The 2005 V-League, also known as the 2005 Number One V-League (Vietnamese: Giải bóng đá Vô địch Quốc gia Number One 2005) for sponsorship reasons, was the 22nd season of the V.League 1, the top Vietnamese professional league for association football clubs, since its establishment in 1980. Đồng Tâm Long An won their first title in this season, displacing two-time champions Hoàng Anh Gia Lai. Changes from the previous season There were two teams relegated last season to the 2005 Vietnamese First League. Thể Công and Ngân hàng Đông Á Thép Pomina, were relegated due to them finishing 11th and 12th respectively the previous season.
