Luciano Rodríguez Rosales (born 16 July 2003) is a Uruguayan professional footballer who plays as a forward for Campeonato Brasileiro Série A club Bahia and the Uruguay national team. Club career Rodríguez is a youth academy graduate of Progreso. He made his professional debut for the club on 17 January 2021 in a goalless draw against Montevideo City Torque. On 27 December 2022, Liverpool Montevideo announced the signing of Rodríguez. In 2023, he was a member of the squad that won the Uruguayan Primera División for the first time. On 26 July 2024, Rodríguez joined Brazilian club Bahia on a five-year contract, making him the most expensive signing in club's history. The 2021 Liga Profesional de Primera División season, also known as the Campeonato Uruguayo de Primera División 2021, was the 118th season of the Uruguayan Primera División, Uruguay's top-flight football league, and the 91st in which it is professional. The 2020 Liga Profesional de Primera División season, also known as the Campeonato Uruguayo de Primera División 2020, was the 117th season of the Uruguayan Primera División, Uruguay's top-flight football league, and the 90th in which it is professional. The season, named as " Néstor "Tito" Gonçalves", began on 15 February 2020 and ended on 7 April 2021. Nacional were the defending champions, having won the title in the previous season and successfully defended their title in this season by defeating Rentistas in the finals by a 4–0 score on aggregate, thus claiming their 48th Primera División title. The Copa do Brasil () is a knockout football competition played by 92 teams, representing all 26 Brazilian states plus the Federal District. The 2024 CONMEBOL Pre-Olympic Tournament (, ) was the 14th edition of the CONMEBOL Pre-Olympic Tournament, the quadrennial, international, age-restricted football tournament organised by the South American Football Confederation (CONMEBOL) to determine which men's under-23 national teams from the South American region qualify for the Olympic football tournament.
