Lepsøya
Lepsøya is a populated island in Haram Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The island in the northern part of the municipality. It is located in the ocean in the northwestern part of the municipality, with the Haramsfjorden and the island of Haramsøya to the northeast; the Vigrafjorden and the island of Vigra (in Giske Municipality) to the southwest; and the islands of Bjørnøya and Terøya along with the mainland to the southeast. In 2024, the population of the island was 316. Most of the population lives on the southeastern side of the island. The Nordøyvegen bridge and tunnel network was completed in 2022 and it connects the island of Lepsøya to the mainland via the Lepsøy Bridge. Nordøyvegen
Nordøyvegen () is a road network in Sunnmøre in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The bridge and tunnel network connects the islands of the former Sandøy Municipality (now part of Ålesund Municipality) and the islands of Haram Municipality to the mainland. The road was built by Skanska for . It provides a faster, ferry-free connection to the mainland for the approximately 3,000 residents of the islands. The road is partly financed by a toll station at the Lepsøy, as of 2022 costing per direction for cars. The project includes crossing four fjords with tunnels and bridges and upgrading and re-routing roads on the islands to meet national standards. A total of seven islands is connected to the mainland using two existing bridges and by building three new bridges, a causeway using fill, and three undersea tunnels. Haramsøya is an island in Haram Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The island is located between the islands of Lepsøya and Flemsøya, just northwest of the mainland. The village of Austnes is located on the southeast part of the island, and that is the location of Haram Church. The Ulla lighthouse is located on the north end of the island. The population (2024) of the island is 570. The Ullasund Bridge connects the island to the other neighboring island of Flemsøya to the north. Vigrafjorden
The Vigrafjorden is a fjord located in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The fjord forms the border between Haram Municipality and Giske Municipality. It is located east of the island of Vigra, after which it is named (in Giske Municipality) and southwest of the island of Lepsøya (in Haram Municipality). In the west, the fjord stretches from the Norwegian Sea about to the small islands of Kalvøya and Bjørnøya in the southeast. At its deepest, the fjord reaches below sea level. Vigra (island)
Vigra is an island in Giske Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The island is located north of the islands of Valderøya and Giske, west of the mainland of Haram Municipality, and southwest of the island of Lepsøya (in Haram). Vigra has a road connection to the mainland via the Vigra Fixed Link, a series of tunnels and bridges that connect all the islands of Giske Municipality to the city of Ålesund to the south. The island was formerly part of Vigra Municipality. The island is fairly flat and barren, although most land has been converted to agricultural uses. The highest point is the tall Molnesfjellet on the north end of the island.
