Lauri Tähkä
Jarkko Tapani Suo, professionally known as Lauri Tähkä (born November 9, 1973, in Vaasa, Finland), is a Finnish musician and recording artist. He was a leading member in the former band Lauri Tähkä & Elonkerjuu. Growing up he listened to Kiss, Iron Maiden, the Finnish band Eppu Normaali, the works of Ismo Alanko as well as Kauko Röyhkä. Tähkä found his musical identity in a cross between rock and national ballads. With his cousin Simo Ralli he created "Niin kauan minä tramppaan" (I'll trek as long as), which won the "Lapuan Spelit" competition. The Elonkerjuu band's home base was Teuva, Finland. Currently Lauri Tähkä is making a solo career. His first album, '' Polte'', was released in October, 2011. Vain Elämää
is the Finnish version of '' The Best Singers'' series broadcast on Finnish Nelonen commercial television channel fashioned on the successful Dutch series ''De beste zangers van Nederland''. Each day, one artist would be chosen, and the remaining artists would perform covers of their songs and would be assessed by the original artist. The last day would be dedicated to duets of the most popular performances. The title of the Finnish series is inspired by the 1973 song ''Vain elämää'' ("It's only life") by Irwin Goodman. Summary Season 1 (2012) The first Finnish edition started on 5 October 2012 and continued until 23 November 2012. Lauri Tähkä & Elonkerjuu
Elonkerjuu is a Finnish folk rock band. Lauri Tähkä founded the band in the mid-1990s and it was known from 1994 until 2011 as Lauri Tähkä & Elonkerjuu. They were signed since 2006 with Universal Music Finland. In 2011 Lauri Tähkä left the band and started his solo career. The band shortened their name to the current form. In 2012 Juha Lagström was chosen as the new lead singer. The current singer is Osku Ketola, who has been in the band since 2017. Lauri Tähkä and Elonkerjuu During the first years, the band based its songs on traditional music from Southern Ostrobothnia. Later Lauri Tähkä composed their songs and wrote the lyrics. Kauko Röyhkä
Kauko Röyhkä, (born Jukka-Pekka Välimaa, 12 February 1959, Valkeakoski), is a Finnish Rock music, rock musician, author and screenwriter. Since the early 1980s he has been a popular rock artist in Finland known especially as a strong lyricist. Röyhkä lived his youth in Oulu and has later lived in Turku and Helsinki. His recording career began in 1980 with the debut album ''Steppaillen''. To date he has recorded 23 full-length albums. His most famous backing band has been Narttu ("Bitch"), that was together in various line-ups throughout the years 1980–1990. Röyhkä has also had many side projects, including a band called 500 kg lihaa ("500 kg of Meat"). In 2007 Röyhkä performed his songs with the Mikkeli town string orchestra.
