Érd NK is a Hungarian women's handball club from Érd, that play in the Nemzeti Bajnokság I (NBI) after gained promotion in 2010. In the 2011–12 season Érd finished fourth in the NBI after losing the third place playoff series 1–2 against Siófok KC. However, it gave them access to their first European Cup, the 2012–13 Women's EHF Cup. Váci NKSE are a Hungarian women's handball club from Vác, that play in the Nemzeti Bajnokság I. Founded in 1949, the team have won promotion to the top-level championship first in 1998. Since then, they have been improved year by year and achieved their best result in 2010 by finishing third. However, in 2011, the club's main sponsor stepped down, following which Vác had to cut their budget and lost many of their key players. Ballsportverein Sachsen Zwickau e. V. is a German women's handball team from Zwickau, Saxony. It plays in the Bundesliga. It was founded as a continuation of the DDR club ''BSG Aktivist Karl Marx Zwickau'' after the fall of the Berlin Wall. The team was promoted to the Bundesliga in 2021 by winning the 2nd Bundesliga. Handball
Handball (also known as team handball, European handball, Olympic handball or indoor handball) is a team sport in which two teams of seven players each (six outcourt players and a goalkeeper) pass a ball using their hands with the aim of throwing it into the goal of the opposing team. A standard match consists of two periods of 30 minutes, and the team that scores more goals wins. Modern handball is played on a court of , with a goal in the middle of each end. The 2017–18 Magyar Kupa (English: ''Hungarian Cup'') was the 78th season of Hungary's annual knock-out cup football competition. Újpest FC won the cup beating Puskás Akadémia FC in the final at the Groupama Aréna. The title-holders, Ferencváros were eliminated in the second round by Kisvárda FC.
