Kızılay Emek Business Center
Kahramanlar Business Center (Turkish language, Turkish: ''Kahramanlar İş Merkezi''), originally known between 1959 and 2015 as Emek Business Center (Turkish language, Turkish: ''Emek İşhanı''), is a 24 storey tower block, highrise building at Kızılay Meydanı, Kızılay Square in Ankara, Turkey. Inspired by the Lever House building in New York City, it was designed in 1959 as one of the first International Style (architecture), International Style highrise buildings in Turkey. At the time of its completion in 1965, it was the tallest building in Ankara. A curtain wall is an exterior covering of a building in which the outer walls are non-structural, instead serving to protect the interior of the building from the elements. Because the curtain wall façade carries no structural load beyond its own dead load weight, it can be made of lightweight materials. The 1960 Turkish coup d'état (), also known as the 27 May Revolution ( or ''27 Mayıs Devrimi''), was the first coup d'état in the Republic of Turkey. It took place on 27 May 1960.
