Kukurečani
Kukurečani () is a village in the Bitola Municipality of North Macedonia. It is situated along the main road between Bitola and Demir Hisar (continuing for Kičevo). It used to be a municipality of its own and its FIPS code was MK56. Demographics According to the 1467-68 Ottoman defter, the village had 150 houses, 8 bachelors and 3 widows. The village predominantly displayed Slavic anthroponymy, with a small minority of instances of heads of families having traditional Albanian names, usually alongside a Slavic one. According to the 2002 census, the village had a total of 966 inhabitants. Serbs In North Macedonia
The Serbs are one of the constitutional ethnic groups of North Macedonia (, sr-Cyrl-Latn, Срби у Северној Македонији, Srbi u Severnoj Makedoniji), numbering about 24,000 inhabitants (2021 census). Kičevo ( ; , sq-definite, Kërçova) is a city in the western part of North Macedonia, located in a valley in the south-eastern slopes of Mount Bistra, between the cities of Ohrid and Gostivar. Demir Hisar ( ) (formerly Murgaševo until 1946) is a small town in North Macedonia. It is the seat of Demir Hisar Municipality. Etymology The name of the town comes from Ottoman Turkish ''Demir Hisar'' (Iron Fortress) when the settlement was part of the Ottoman Empire. History In the 1467/1468 Ottoman defter, Murgaševo had 115 households, 8 bachelors and 3 widows.
