Bitola Municipality
Bitola ( ) is a municipality in the southern part of North Macedonia. ''Bitola'' is also the name of the city where the municipal seat is located. The municipality is located in the Pelagonia Statistical Region. Geography The municipality of Bitola borders the Demir Hisar Municipality to the north, the Mogila Municipality to the northeast, the Resen Municipality to the west, the Novaci Municipality to the southeast and Greece to the south. Pelagonia
Pelagonia (; ) is a geographical region of Macedonia named after the ancient kingdom. Ancient Pelagonia roughly corresponded to the present-day municipalities of Bitola, Prilep, Mogila, Novaci, Kruševo, and Krivogaštani in North Macedonia and to the municipalities of Florina, Amyntaio and Prespes in Greece. Crna River (Vardar)
The Crna River ( Macedonian: Црна Река ;"Black River"), also known in English as Cherna (), is a river in North Macedonia. It is a right tributary of the Vardar River. It runs through much of the south and west of the country. Its source is in the mountains on the western part of North Macedonia, northwest of Demir Hisar. It enters the Pelagonia valley at the village of Buchin and then flows through the village Sopotnica, and southwards through the plains east of Bitola. At Brod ( Novaci Municipality) it turns northeast. It leaves the Pelagonia valley at the Staravina village and goes in the biggest canyon in North Macedonia, the Skočivir valley and flows into the Vardar River between Rosoman and Gradsko. Baba (North Macedonia)
Baba (; or Baba Mountain, ), also known by the name of its highest peak, Pelister (), is a mountain in North Macedonia. The Pelister peak (2601 metres, or 8533 feet) overlooks the city of Bitola. Baba is the third highest mountain in North Macedonia.
