Kart Circuits
A kart circuit is a race track designed for kart racing or other forms of short-length motor racing, such as small-scale motorcycle racing, pocketbike racing, or radio-controlled model racing. There are several types of kart circuit, depending on the type of use desired. Unlike regular race tracks intended for auto racing or other forms of motorsports, kart circuits are usually much shorter in length, narrower, and contains numerous turns or corners. Circuit types Short circuit A short circuit is defined as being an outdoor circuit of less than 1,500 meters in length . The average length for a serious racing track for karts is around 1,100 - 1,200 meters, 7 to 9 meters in width. Normally custom-built for karting, they resemble road courses, with left and right turns. They generally allow sprint racing for both gearbox and non-gearbox karts. A race track (racetrack, racing track or racing circuit) is a facility built for racing of vehicles, athletes, or animals (e.g. horse racing or greyhound racing). A race track also may feature grandstands or concourses. Race tracks are also used in the study of animal locomotion. A ''racetrack'' is a permanent facility or building. Micro Kart
A micro kart is a small, one-passenger mini go-kart. These karts typically have two-stroke engines, ranging in size from 22.5 cc to 85 cc, and putting out anywhere from 1.2 hp to over 20 hp, or an electric motor with rechargeable lithium-ion batteries. Types Lower-class micro karts The lower-end karts weigh anywhere from 37 to 42 pounds and have solid rubber tires of 4.5 to 6 inches diameter.* They typically have engines ranging from 22.5 cc to 45.7 cc in size, but engines up to 61.5 cc can be purchased from aftermarket sources. Adria International Raceway
Adria International Raceway was a motorsport race track near Adria in the Veneto region of Northern Italy. It was a permanent road course, the venue has hosted the FIA GT Championship, Italian Formula Three, Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters and the Formula Three Euroseries. In 2021, the circuit shape was changed and the circuit length was extended to in order to host WTCR races in the 2021 season. In March 2022, the circuit was closed due to its debts. Franciacorta Karting Track
Franciacorta () is a historical region in the Province of Brescia, Lombardy, Italy, with a population of around 158,249. Buckmore Park Kart Circuit is an MSA approved outdoor kart racing circuit located just off junction 3 of the M2 in Chatham, Kent, England. Until his death on 10 March 2017, it was owned by John Surtees, the only person to have won world Grand Prix championships in both Formula One car racing and Grand Prix motorcycle racing. Swedbank Kartodroms
Kandavas Kartodroms is a karting circuit in Kandava, about 100 km West of Riga, the capital of Latvia. The track was built in 1972 and completely redesigned and rebuilt in 2008 according to CIK-FIA standards. The architect of the reconstruction was Hermann Tilke, author of many top level racing circuits worldwide. History The track is 1,012 meters in length with 11 turns. It can be used in both directions, and there are three shortcuts that make it possible to change the track's configuration. One of its corners is named after Tilke.
