Jöns Jacob Berzelius
Baron Jöns Jacob Berzelius (; 20 August 1779 – 7 August 1848) was a Swedish chemist. Berzelius is considered, along with Robert Boyle, John Dalton, and Antoine Lavoisier, to be one of the founders of modern chemistry. Berzelius became a member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences in 1808 and served from 1818 as its principal functionary. He is known in Sweden as the "Father of Swedish Chemistry". During his lifetime he did not customarily use his first given name, and was universally known simply as Jacob Berzelius. Although Berzelius began his career as a physician, his enduring contributions were in the fields of electrochemistry, chemical bonding and stoichiometry. Jöns Budde
Jöns Budde, OSsS (sometimes spelled as ''Joens Budde'' or ''Jønes Budde'') (c. 1435 – c. 1493) was a Bridgettine monk from the Bridgettine convent ''Nådendal Abbey, Vallis gratiae'', the first convent for women in Finland, located in Naantali, near Turku, Finland – at the time part of the Kalmar Union (1397–1523). Jöns Budde chiefly translated from Latin to Swedish language, Swedish, but also wrote works of his own. His works included the translation of the whole books of the Bible into Swedish. He is the earliest writer known to have translated parts of the Bible into Swedish. No evidence of the literary work carried on in the Dominican and Franciscan monastery, monasteries in Finland has been preserved. Jöns Gerekesson

Jöns Gerekesson (; ; – 1433) was a controversial archbishop of Uppsala in Sweden from 1408 to 1421, and the bishop of Skálholt in Iceland from 1426 to 1433 until he was murdered by being tied to a rock and drowned. Biography It is not known when Jöns Gerekesson was born. His uncle, Peder Jensen Lodehat, was Bishop of Roskilde, Denmark and Chancellor to the Scandinavian queen, Margareta. Jöns studied at the University of Paris, graduating in 1401, and the University of Prague, where he graduated in 1404. He then worked as a canon in Aarhus before he became chancellor to the Scandinavian King Eric of Pomerania. On the death of the archbishop Henrik Karlsson (1408), the King appointed Jöns to take his place, despite protests from the cathedral chapter. Jöns Peter Hemberg
Jöns Peter Hemberg (1763–1834) was a Swedish people, Swedish banker and member of parliament. He founded Skånes Enskilda Bank ("Skåne's Private Bank") in 1830, together with Gustav Berghman, and Gustaf Hagerman, which later merged with Skandinaviska Kreditaktiebolaget. Career Hemberg made his fortune as a commodity merchant. In 1805, he began managing Ystad's auction chamber, through which he acquired some of the largest estates in Scania, including Öja in 1812, Tunbyholm Castle in 1818, and Smedstorp Castle in 1820. He went on to represent Ystad as a member of parliament in 1823, 1828–30, 1834–35, during which he successfully managed to get financing to expand Ystad's harbour, as well as actively blocking Trelleborg's attempts to regain its city and trading privileges, which otherwise would have made Trelleborg a serious competitor as a trading centre in the region. Jöns Bengtsson Oxenstierna
Jöns Bengtsson (Oxenstierna), in Latin known as Johannes Benedicti de Salista, (1417 – 15 December 1467) was a Swedish clergyman, canon law scholar and statesman who served as Archbishop of Uppsala (1448–1467). He was also the regent of Sweden under the Kalmar Union in 1457, shared with Erik Axelsson (Tott), and alone from 1465 to 1466. Jöns Svanberg
Jöns Svanberg (1771–1851) was a Swedish clergyman and natural scientist. Life He was born on 6 July 1771 in Ytterbyn, Sweden and died on 15 January 1851 in Uppsala, Sweden. Career He entered Uppsala University at the age of 16. He received his Ph.D. in 1794. In 1806, he became the professor of surveying and in 1811 he became the professor of mathematics at Uppsala University. In 1798, he became a member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences. From 1803 to 1811, he was the secretary of the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences. In 1822, Svanberg was elected a member of the American Philosophical Society in Philadelphia.
