Jämtlands Bryggeri
Jämtlands Bryggeri is a microbrewery located in the small village of Pilgrimstad located in the Municipality of Bräcke in Jämtland, in north western part Sweden. The brewery started brewing beer in January 1996 and is one of Sweden’s smallest breweries. The outspoken policy of the brewery is to brew beer in small quantities in order to guarantee a high quality in the production. The yearly production amounts to 750.000 liters of beer. Today, the brewery has a standing assortment of eleven different brands of beers reflecting a number of various brewing techniques. The brewery is regularly awarded at the annual Stockholm Beer Festival (where approximately 600 brands of beers are competing). The company has competed in the festival the last eight years and has totally been awarded 58 gold medals, 28 silver medals and 14 bronze medals. Pilgrimstad is a locality situated in Bräcke Municipality, Jämtland County, Sweden with 386 inhabitants in 2010. Systembolaget
(, "the System Company"), colloquially known as ("the system") or ("the company"), is a government-owned chain of liquor stores in Sweden. It is the only retail store allowed to sell alcoholic beverages that contain more than 3.5% alcohol by volume. Systembolaget acts as a portal for private companies selling alcohol on the Swedish market and currently (2022) it represents 1200 vendors ranging from small local breweries to large scale importers and multinational companies, selling products from a total of over 5000 producers from all over the world. Bräcke
Bräcke is a locality and the seat of Bräcke Municipality in Jämtland County, Sweden with 1,651 inhabitants in 2010. The community is located next to Lake Revsundssjön, 70 km south-east of Östersund. The railway has been an important factor in Bräcke's development. The town is located along the Central line and is the starting point of the Main Line Through Upper Norrland. European route E14 also passes through Bräcke and Länsväg 323 starts in Bräcke and goes towards Kälarne. Bräcke Church (''Bräcke kyrka'') was built in the summer of 1859 following a drawing by Abraham Rafael Ulric Pettersson (1824-1866). Strong ale is a type of ale, usually above 5% abv and often higher, between 7% to 11% abv, which spans a number of beer styles, including old ale, barley wine and Burton ale.
