João Chianca
João Vítor de Azeredo Chianca (Saquarema, August 30, 2000), sometimes known as Chumbinho, is a Brazilian professional surfer in the World Surf League (WSL). He qualified for the 2024 Olympic Games. Life The younger brother of Lucas Chumbo and the son of Gustavo Chumbão, he made his debut in the main surfing competition in 2022. In the 2023 season, he was a semifinalist in the first two competitions of the season in Hawaii and won his first title in Portugal in Peniche, on Supertubos Beach. Career After debuting in the World Surfing Elite in 2022, Chianca was unable to maintain himself after the mid-season cut. Still in 2022, competing in Challenge Series, he reclassified and returned to the CT in 2023. Returning to the CT in 2023, Chianca had his best career finish. With a strong start to the season he had two 3rd places in the first two events and his first CT victory in the MEO Rip Curl Pro Portugal event beating Jack Robinson in the final. 2023 World Surf League
The 2023 World Surf League was the 46th season of all iterations of the World Surf League, tour circuit for professional surfers. Billabong Pipe Masters will be the first round of the tour. For the third time, the season will end at Trestles (surfing), Lower Trestles, in San Clemente, California, San Clemente, USA, with the top five seeded men and women from the season going head to head to determine the champion at the 2023 World Surf League Finals, WSL Finals. 2024 World Surf League
The 2024 World Surf League is the 47th season of all iterations of the tour circuit for professional surfers. Billabong Pipe Masters will be the first round of the tour. For the fourth time, the season ended at Lower Trestles, in San Clemente, USA, with the top five seeded men and women from the season going head to head to determine the champion at the WSL Finals. Filipe Toledo and Caroline Marks were the defending champions. The 2024 CT included nine regular-season events in seven countries. Ethan Ewing (born 2 September 1998, in North Stradbroke Island, Queensland) is an Australian professional surfer. The 2023 Rip Curl WSL Finals was the 11th and final event of the 2023 World Surf League. It was the third edition of the World Surf League Finals, and took place at Lower Trestles in California on September 9, 2023. Jack Robinson (surfer)
Jack Robinson (born 27 December 1997) is an Australian professional surfer who competes on the World Surf League Men's Championship Tour. He was crowned surfer of the year twice at the Australian Surfing Awards in 2020 and 2021. Robinson is often considered to one of the best barrel riders of the current days. Robinson did his best WSL performance in 2022 where he finished 3rd on the final rankings. He qualified for the 2024 Olympic Games, where he won silver.
