João Alexandre Duarte Ferreira Fernandes (born 31 December 1979), known as Neca, is a Portuguese former Association football, footballer who played as a midfielder. He amassed Primeira Liga totals of 225 matches and 29 goals over the course of 12 seasons, representing in the competition C.F. Os Belenenses, Belenenses, Vitória S.C., Vitória de Guimarães, C.S. MarÃtimo, MarÃtimo and Vitória F.C., Vitória de Setúbal. He also played professionally in Turkey. Club career Born in Lisbon, Neca started playing professionally with local C.F. Os Belenenses, being a starter from an early age. In sport, a cap is a player's appearance in a game at international level. The term dates from the practice in the United Kingdom of awarding a cap to every player in an international match of rugby football and association football. In the early days of football, the concept of each team wearing a set of matching shirts had not been universally adopted, so each side would distinguish itself from the other by wearing a specific sort of cap. Sado River
The Sado () is a river in southern Portugal; it is one of the major rivers in the country.
