Jesús Reyes Heroles
Jesús Reyes Heroles (3 April 1921 – 19 March 1985) was a Mexican politician, jurist, historian and academic affiliated with the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI). The party acknowledges him as one of its leading ideologues. Professional career Reyes Heroles was born in Tuxpan, Veracruz, in 1921. In 1939 he gained admission to the law school of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and joined the Party of the Mexican Revolution (PRM), the forerunner of the later PRI. He graduated from the UNAM in 1944 and pursued studies in Argentina the following year. Between 1946 and 1963 he taught at both the UNAM and the National Polytechnic Institute (IPN). In the 1961 mid-term election, he was elected to the Chamber of Deputies for Veracruz's second district. At the end of his term in Congress he was appointed director-general of Petróleos Mexicanos (PEMEX), where he remained throughout the presidential term of Gustavo Díaz Ordaz (1964–1970). Tuxpan (or Túxpam, fully Túxpam de Rodríguez Cano, for Enrique Rodríguez Cano) is both a Municipalities of Veracruz, municipality and city located in the List of states of Mexico, Mexican state of Veracruz. Gustavo Díaz Ordaz Bolaños (; 12 March 1911 – 15 July 1979) was a Mexican politician and member of the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI). He served as the President of Mexico from 1964 to 1970. Previously, he served as a member of the Chamber of Deputies (Mexico), Chamber of Deputies for Puebla's 1st federal electoral district of Puebla, 1st district, a senator of the Senate of the Republic (Mexico), Congress of the Union for Puebla, and Secretariat of the Interior (Mexico), Secretary of the Interior. Jesús Federico Reyes Heroles González Garza (7 February 1952 – 21 January 2024) was a Mexican economist and politician. He was a member of the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI) and co-founder and executive president of ''Grupo de Economistas y Asociados'' (GEA), a consulting firm that has become the first independent organization dedicated to political and economic analysis. He held a B.A. in Economics from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM) and a Ph.D. in Economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). In political science, parallel voting or superposition refers to the use of two or more Electoral system, electoral systems to elect different members of a legislature.
