Jani Sarajärvi
Jani Sarajärvi (born 9 September 1979 in Pudasjärvi) is a Finnish professional football manager who is currently working as the head coach of the Estonia national under-21 football team and the Head of Youth National Teams. Sarajärvi, a former pro player, has previously held head or assistant coaching positions in three continents, both in premier club level and national team settings. He’s also a researcher PhD student at the University of Lisbon, one of the best academic football institutions in Europe. Club career Sarajärvi's professional playing career lasted 11 years and during this time he played in Veikkausliiga and Allsvenskan, earning one senior cap for Finland national team and eight for under-21 national team. Petri Vuorinen (born 31 August 1972) is a Finnish football manager and a former player. He is currently working as the sporting director of Veikkausliiga club HJK Helsinki. Early and personal life Vuorinen was born in Sweden to Finnish parents, who had emigrated to Trollhättan for work. Vuorinen's father suffered from alcoholism. His parents divorced when he was 12 years old, and Vuorinen first moved to Sundsvall with his mother and siblings. A year-and-a-half later they moved back to Vaasa, Finland. Vuorinen has worked in a school, in a hospital and as a fire officer in Vaasa and Helsinki. Playing career As a player, Vuorinen played as a defensive midfielder in second-tier Ykkönen for BK-IFK, Närpes Kraft and Jaro. Kakkonen or II divisioona is the fourth level in the league system of Finnish football and comprises 36 Finnish football teams. Until the end of 2023, ''Kakkonen'' was the third-highest level in Finland, but after the creation of new second-tier Ykkösliiga, Kakkonen also dropped down one level in the league pyramid. The new fourth-tier Kakkonen is divided to three groups, each consisting of 10 teams. In sport, a cap is a player's appearance in a game at international level. The term dates from the practice in the United Kingdom of awarding a cap to every player in an international match of rugby football and association football. In the early days of football, the concept of each team wearing a set of matching shirts had not been universally adopted, so each side would distinguish itself from the other by wearing a specific sort of cap.
