Jan Müller (December 27, 1922 – January 29, 1958) was a New York-based figurative expressionist artist of the 1950s. According to art critic Carter Ratcliff, "His paintings usually erect a visual architecture sturdy enough to support an array of standing, riding, levitating figures. Gravity is absent, banished by an indifference to ordinary experience." According to the poet John Ashbery, Müller "brings a medieval sensibility to neo-Expressionist paintings." Jan Allan Müller
Jan Allan Müller (born 25 July 1969) is a retired Faroe Islands, Faroese football striker. Club career He grew up in Vágur, where he played football for VB Vágur (now called FC Suðuroy). In October 1990 he had a trial at Dutch club Go Ahead Eagles earning him a first professional contract. Later Müller moved to Denmark to play professional football, he played for the Danish clubs AC Horsens, Esbjerg fB and Svendborg fB. He had to retire early from professional football due to injuries. International career He was a member of the Faroe Islands national football team from 1988 to 1998. Jan Müller (born 1967) is a media archive executive and former advertising executive. Early life and education Jan Müller was born in 1967 in Soest, Netherlands, as the son of the chief sound technician at the Nederlandse Omroep Stichting (National Broadcasting Foundation). At age four, Müller and his family moved to the town of Huizen in the Dutch province North Holland, where he grew up and completed primary and secondary education. After graduating the Atheneum (school), atheneum, he studied commercial economics at the Hogeschool voor Economische Studies (University of Applied Sciences for Economics) in Amsterdam. Career After graduation, Müller started a career in the advertising business. Eventually he became general director at the Dutch branch of Saatchi & Saatchi in 2003. He was from 2006 until 2010 board member of the Stichting Ideële Reclame SIRE (Foundation for Idealistic Advertising), a national foundation that runs advertising campaigns in the public interest. ...
