Intercités
Intercités (IC), known before September 2009 as ''Corail Intercités'', is a brand name used by France's national railway company, the SNCF, to denote non High-speed rail in France, high-speed services on the classic rail network in France. The SNCF established the Intercités brand in January 2006 to capture the remaining, mainly medium distance network of Corail (train), Corail trains, so called because they use the air-conditioned fleet of Corail coaches introduced by the SNCF from 1975. Intercités covers all the important SNCF routes not served by the TGV network. Since December 2011, the former Téoz (long distance trains with obligatory reservation) and Intercités de nuit (overnight sleeper train) brands have been re-integrated and the Intercités brand now covers all non high-speed SNCF national network passenger services. Gare De Bercy
Gare de Paris Bercy, officially Gare de Paris Bercy Bourgogne – Pays d'Auvergne, is one of the seven mainline railway station terminals in Paris. It handles about 4.3 million passengers annually according to the estimates of the SNCF, making it the least busy mainline station in Paris. The station is located in the 12th arrondissement, on the right bank of the river Seine, in the east of Paris. It is located a short distance from Gare de Lyon and serves as an annex of the larger station, helping to relieve the traffic in the busy station. Saint-Pierre-des-Corps station () is a railway station serving the town of Saint-Pierre-des-Corps and the Tours agglomeration, Indre-et-Loire department, western France. It is situated on the Paris–Bordeaux railway and the Tours–Saint-Nazaire railway. History Given its strategic position on the Loire, the entire Tours / Saint-Pierre-des-Corps railway complex was the target of bombing during the Second World War. In 1990 the passenger building, which by then no longer existed, was rebuilt following the opening of the LGV Atlantique, to accommodate TGV and Aqualys from 2001. Nantes station ( French: ''Gare de Nantes'') is the principal passenger railway station serving the French city of Nantes. It is a through station aligned east–west, with entrances and station facilities on both north and south sides. The two entrances are often described as ''Gare Nord'' and ''Gare Sud'', as if they were separate stations, but they are in fact linked to each other and to all the platforms by a pedestrian subway. In 2020, after 3 years of work, a new pedestrian aerial way has been built over the railways to facilitate the passengers flow. Téoz
Téoz (formerly Corail Téoz) was a brand name used by France's national railway company, the SNCF, to denote long-distance reservation-obligatory passenger rail services on certain SNCF routes. The SNCF established the Téoz system in 2003 as an attempt to bring certain key routes up to the same standards as TGVs where high-speed lines are not available, leaving ordinary Corail trains to serve the rest of the non high-speed intercity and interregional network. It was merged into the Intercités brand in 2012. Service Téoz services were not universally liked by the general public as they required compulsory reservation but went little faster (up to 200 km/h or 125 mph) than the traditional services they replaced.
