Ouigo
Ouigo () is a low-cost service range of both conventional and high-speed trains run by SNCF in France, and also to Belgium in cooperation with National Railway Company of Belgium, NMBS/SNCB. The literal translation of ''Ouigo'' from French to English is "yes go"; the name is also a play on words with the English homonym "we go." It is composed of two different services: ''Ouigo Grande Vitesse'', which is a brand of SNCF operating high-speed trains; and ''Ouigo Vitesse Classique'', a brand under which Oslo, a subsidiary of SNCF, operates conventional speed trains. Transilien () is the brand name given to the commuter rail and tram-train network operated by SNCF and serving Île-de-France, the region surrounding and including the city of Paris. The network consists of lines Transilien Line H, H, Transilien Line J, J, Transilien Line K, K, Transilien Line L, L, Transilien Line N, N, Transilien Line P, P, Transilien Line R, R, Transilien Line U, U and Transilien Line V, V that begin and end in major Parisian stations, except for lines U and V which connect major stations outside the Paris city borders. Eurostar is an international high-speed rail service in Western Europe, connecting Belgium, France, Germany, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom. Rail Logistics Europe, or RLE, formerly SNCF Logistics, is a French freight rail multinational. It is a subsidiary of SNCF. RLE claims to be the No. 1 rail logistics hub in France and No. 2 in Europe, with 9,535 employees in 10 countries. The Compagnie des chemins de fer du Midi (, . CF du Midi), also known in English as the Midi or Southern Railway, was an early French railway company which operated a network of routes in the southwest of the country, chiefly in the area between its main line – which ran from Bordeaux, close to the Atlantic coast, to Sète on the Mediterranean – and the Pyrenees. The company was established by the Pereire brothers, who thus broke the virtual monopoly held in France by James Rothschild on the slow-paced railway projects taking place in the area of Paris during the 1840s and 1850s. TER Provence Alpes-Côte-d'Azur, branded as TER Zou!, is the regional rail network serving the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur Regions of France, region in France. This network is operated by SNCF, although services between Nice and Marseille will instead be operated by a subsidiary of Transdev from June 2025, after winning a Request for proposal, competitive tender held by the region in 2021.
