In Living Color
''In Living Color'' is an American sketch comedy television series that originally ran on Fox from April 15, 1990, to May 19, 1994. Keenen Ivory Wayans created, wrote and starred in the program. The show was produced by Ivory Way Productions in association with 20th Television and was taped at stage 7 at the Metromedia Square on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California. The title of the series was inspired by the NBC announcement of broadcasts being presented " in living color" during the 1960s, prior to mainstream color television. It also refers, in the sense of the term " person of color", to the fact that most of the show's cast was African Americans, unlike other popular sketch comedy shows such as ''Saturday Night Live'', whose casts were mostly White at the time. ''In Living Color'' portrayed a form of irreverent Black humor in a time when mainstream American tastes regarding Black comedy on television had been set by inoffensive family-friendly shows ...

Variety Show
Variety show, also known as variety arts or variety entertainment, is entertainment made up of a variety of acts including musical performances, sketch comedy, magic, acrobatics, juggling, and ventriloquism. It is normally introduced by a compère (master of ceremonies) or host. The variety format made its way from the Victorian era stage in Britain and America to radio and then television. Variety shows were a staple of English language television from the late 1940s into the 1980s. While the format is still widespread in some parts of the world, such as in the United Kingdom with the '' Royal Variety Performance'', the Philippines with ''Eat Bulaga!'' and '' It's Showtime'', and South Korea with '' Running Man'', the proliferation of multichannel television and evolving viewer tastes have affected the popularity of variety shows in the United States. Despite this, their influence has still had a major effect on late night television whose late-night talk shows and NBC's vari ...

NBC Logo
The NBC, National Broadcasting Company (NBC) has used several corporate logos over the course of its history. The first logo was used in 1926 when the radio network began operations. Its most famous logo, the Peafowl, peacock, was first used in 1956 to highlight the network's color television, color programming. While it has been in use in one form or another for all but four years since then, the peacock did not become part of NBC's main logo until 1979 and did not universally become the network's sole logo until the fall of 1988 (although the peacock as the sole logo was unveiled in 1986). The logos were designed by employees of NBC, rather than by an advertising agency. The first logo incorporated design from then-parent company RCA, and was a unique logo not related to the NBC radio network. Recent logos have been themed for different holidays during the year (such as Christmas, Thanksgiving (United States), Thanksgiving, Halloween, St. Patrick's Day, Valentine's Day, and Ne ...
