Iarlaith Daly
Iarlaith Daly (born 2000) is an Irish hurler who plays for Waterford Senior Championship club Lismore and at inter-county level with the Waterford senior hurling team. He usually lines out as a left wing-back. Playing career Waterford Daly first played for Waterford at minor level during the 2017 Munster Minor Championship, lining out in three successive defeats during the short-lived campaign. After one season in the minor grade, Daly was drafted onto the Waterford under-21/under-20 team. His two seasons in these grades ended with first-round Munster Championship defeats in both 2018 and 2019. Daly was added to the Waterford senior hurling team in advance of the 2020 season. He made his first appearance for the team on 29 December 2019 when he lined out at right wing-back in a 1-17 t 1-13 defeat by Cork in the pre-season Munster League. Lismore GAA
Lismore GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in Lismore, County Waterford, Ireland. The club enters teams in both GAA codes each year, which includes two adult hurling teams and one adult Gaelic football team in the Waterford County Championships. The club has won county titles in both hurling and football, but in recent history the club has been mainly concerned with the game of hurling. The club's camogie teams have also had several successes. History The club has won the County Senior Hurling Championship 3 times. In the first, in 1925, the club beating Erin's Own by 4-2 to 2-3. The club had to wait 66 years before their next success in 1991, in which they beat Mount Sion by 5-7 to 1-5. The third win was in 1993, when Lismore beat Passage by 0-8 to 0-7. 2020 Munster Senior Hurling League
The 2020 Munster Senior Hurling League was the fifth staging of the Munster Senior Hurling League since its establishment by the Munster Council in 2016. The league began on 15 December 2019 and ended on 11 January 2020. Clare were the defending champions, however, they failed to make it out of the group stage. On 11 January 2020, Limerick won the Munster League after a 1-32 to 0-20 defeat of Cork in the final at the LIT Gaelic Grounds. This was their second league title overall and their first title since 2018. Competition format The six teams are drawn into two groups of three teams. Each team plays the other teams in their group once, earning 2 points for a win and 1 for a draw. The two group winners advance to the final. The National Hurling League is an annual Inter county, inter-county hurling competition featuring teams from Ireland and England. Founded in 1925 by the Gaelic Athletic Association, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation within the league system. The league has 35 teams divided into five divisions, with seven teams in each division. Promotion and relegation between these divisions is a central feature of the league. 2020 All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship
The 2020 All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship (SHC) was the 133rd staging of the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship, the Gaelic Athletic Association's premier inter-county hurling tournament, since its establishment in 1887. The 2020 fixtures were announced in October 2019. Games were initially scheduled to begin on 9 May 2020. Due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on Gaelic games, the competition was delayed before beginning on 24 October 2020 and ending on 13 December 2020. Laois returned to the Leinster Championship for the first time since 2017, replacing Carlow who were relegated in 2019. Tipperary entered the competition as the defending champion, attempting to retain the title for the first time since 1965. The Kilkenny County Board of the Gaelic Athletic Association (Kilkenny GAA) () is one of the 32 County board (Gaelic games), county boards of the GAA in Ireland and is responsible for Gaelic games in County Kilkenny. Kevin Moran (hurler)
Kevin Moran (born 3 March 1987) is an Irish hurler who plays for De La Salle and formerly of the Waterford county hurling team. He is also a teacher in De La Salle College Waterford. Moran made his first appearance for the team during the 2006 championship and became a regular member of the starting fifteen over the following few seasons. Since then he has won two Munster winners' medals, two National League winners' medals and one All-Star award. Moran has ended up as an All-Ireland runner-up on three occasions. At club level Moran is a two-time Munster medalist with De La Salle. In addition to this he has also won three county club championship winners' medals. The 2020 National Hurling League was the 89th season of the National Hurling League for county teams. Division 1 was restructured in 2020 into two groups of approximately equal strength. The league was originally scheduled to end on 29 March 2020. The public health measures introduced to combat the COVID-19 pandemic in Ireland resulted in most of the final stages being delayed to October and the Division 1 final stage being reduced from five games to one. Eir Sport and RTÉ provide live TV coverage of the league on Saturday nights. TG4 broadcast Sunday afternoon games.
