Kevin Moran (hurler)
Kevin Moran (born 3 March 1987) is an Irish hurler who plays for De La Salle and formerly of the Waterford county hurling team. He is also a teacher in De La Salle College Waterford. Moran made his first appearance for the team during the 2006 championship and became a regular member of the starting fifteen over the following few seasons. Since then he has won two Munster winners' medals, two National League winners' medals and one All-Star award. Moran has ended up as an All-Ireland runner-up on three occasions. At club level Moran is a two-time Munster medalist with De La Salle. In addition to this he has also won three county club championship winners' medals. Playing career Club Moran plays his club hurling with the De La Salle club and has enjoyed much success. De La Salle Gaelic football and hurling club is based in Waterford City, Republic of Ireland, Ireland. The club competes in Gaelic games competitions organised by Waterford GAA board. Adare GAA club is a Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) club based in Adare, County Limerick, Republic of Ireland, Ireland. Adare have reached the Limerick Senior Hurling Championship, County Senior Hurling Final on 12 occasions. After losing the finals of 1968, 1986, 1990, 1993 and 1996, they finally won their first championship in 2001 and successfully defended it in 2002. In 2003, they narrowly missed out on winning three county titles in a row after losing out to Patrickswell GAA, Patrickswell in the final. Justin McCarthy (hurler)
Justin J. McCarthy (born 1945) is an Irish former Hurling, hurler and Manager (Gaelic games), manager. At club level he lined out with numerous club and divisional sides, while he was also a member of the Cork senior hurling team. McCarthy enjoyed a 30-year club career, during which time he lined out with Rochestown GAA, Rochestown, Passage West GAA, Passage and Shamrocks GAA (Cork), Shamrocks, as well as divisional sides Carrigdhoun GAA, Carrigdhoun and Seandún GAA, Seandún. As an inter-county midfielder, McCarthy won two National Hurling League, National League titles and three Munster Senior Hurling Championship, Munster SHC medals, with the highlight of his career was an All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship, All-Ireland SHC victory as Texaco Hurler of the Year, Hurler of the Year in 1966. The Fitzgibbon Cup () is the trophy for the premier hurling championship among higher education institutions (universities, colleges and institutes of technology) in Ireland. The Fitzgibbon Cup competition is administered by Comhairle Ard Oideachais Cumann Lúthchleas Gael (CLG), the GAA's Higher Education Council. Comhairle Ard Oideachais also oversees the Ryan Cup (tier 2 hurling championship), the Fergal Maher Cup (tier 3 hurling championship) and the Padraig MacDiarmada (tier 4 hurling championship).
