Héctor Martínez Colón
Héctor Martínez Colón was a Puerto Rico, Puerto Rican politician. He served as member of the Senate of Puerto Rico for the Puerto Rico Senatorial district V, District of Ponce from 1969 to 1973. Martínez also served as part of the Puerto Rico House of Representatives. Background Martínez entered the University of Puerto Rico, where he graduated with honors with a Bachelor of Arts degree, concentrating in Economics and Psychology. He then continued advanced studies until he graduated as a lawyer from the University of Puerto Rico School of Law. He established his legal practice in Ponce. He was married to Persi Maldonado. They have five children together. The youngest, Héctor Martínez Maldonado, served as senator also, from 2005 to 2011 when he was convicted for several charges of corruption. Death Martínez Colón died on April 16, 1991, in Ponce, after battling cancer that had afflicted him since 1980. References

Héctor Ruíz Martínez (November 14, 1943 – May 6, 1986) was a Puerto Rican politician and teacher. He was mayor of Barceloneta from 1985 until his death in 1986. Early years and studies Héctor Ruíz Martínez was born on November 14, 1943, in the Tosas Sector of Barrio Magueyes in Barceloneta, Puerto Rico. He was the seventh son of Gustavo Vidal Ruíz and Filadelfia Martínez. When his mother died a month later, Héctor was taken to his grandparents who raised him. Ruíz studied his elementary school in Pajonal, but after graduating, his father enrolled him at the Rafael Balseiro Maceira Junior High School in Barceloneta. He graduated in 1962, and was the President of his class. Ruíz enters the University of Puerto Rico, specifically the Pedagogy Department. Rodolfo Héctor Martínez (May 11, 1939 – December 14, 1999) was a Cuban baseball player who played in professional baseball on the North American mainland in 1957–1958, 1960–1964, and 1966–1967, mostly in the Kansas City Athletics' minor league system. He was an outfielder who threw and batted right-handed, stood tall and weighed . During his career, he had two separate trials in Major League Baseball with the 1962–1963 Athletics, appearing in seven games played, and making four hits in 15 at bats. He was born in Las Villas (Cuba). Héctor Martínez Torres (born 1 January 1995) is a Spanish professional footballer who plays as a central defender for SS Reyes. Club career Born in Alcalá de Henares, Community of Madrid, Martínez joined Real Madrid's La Fábrica in 2005 from hometown club RSD Alcalá. He left for Rayo Vallecano four years later, but returned to Real to finish his development. Martínez made his senior debut with the C team on 17 April 2014 at the age of 18, starting in a 4–1 Segunda División B home win against UB Conquense. Héctor Martínez Arteche (1934 – October 3, 2011) was a Mexican painter and muralist. He was born in Mexico City, but spent most of his life in the state of Sonora. Most of his mural work can be seen in Hermosillo, Ciudad Obregón and Navojoa, totalling more than 4,000 meters squared. These include ''Energía, evolución y movimiento'', ''La evolución mística del hombre venado'', ''El universo del hombre'', ''El pueblo de Cajeme'' and ''Comunicación I''. In addition to this artwork, he has also had a long teaching career, which began in 1948 at the Escuela Nacional de Artes Plásticas at UNAM. Héctor Martínez Muñoz (December 14, 1924 – November 14, 1991) was the first member of the Supreme Court of Puerto Rico appointed by Governor Luis A. Ferré and confirmed by an opposition-controlled Senate of Puerto Rico presided by Rafael Hernández Colón. Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Martínez obtained a B.A. from Virginia State University and a Juris Doctor degree in 1951 from the University of Puerto Rico School of Law. During twenty years he practiced law in the private sector but served ''ad honorem'' on the State Board of Education, as a Bar examiner and on the Legislative Committee of the Puerto Rico Bar Association.
