The Stockholm School of Economics (SSE; , HHS) is a private business school located in city district Vasastaden in the central part of Stockholm, Sweden. SSE offers BSc, MSc and MBA programs, along with PhD- and Executive education programs. SSE is accredited by EQUIS and is a member of CEMS. SSE has founded sister organizations: SSE Riga in Riga, Latvia, and SSE Russia in St Petersburg and Moscow, Russia. The Stockholm School of Economics Russia, SSE Russia (Russian ''Стокгольмская школа экономики России'', Swedish: ''Handelshögskolan i Stockholm Ryssland'') is a business school with representation offices in Moscow and St Petersburg. It was founded in 1997 as a subsidiary of the Stockholm School of Economics, with the purpose of supplying the economies of North-eastern Europe in general and Russia in particular with well-educated young professionals. The EFMD Quality Improvement System (EQUIS) is a business school accreditation managed by Brussels based EFMD. It provides accreditation for higher education institutions of management and business administration and is run by the European Foundation for Management Development. It is considered as one of the triple accreditation. EQUIS has accredited 210 institutions in 45 countries around the world.
