HS2
High Speed 2 (HS2) is a high-speed railway which has been under construction in England since 2019. The line's planned route is between Handsacre – in southern Staffordshire – and London, with a branch to Birmingham. HS2 is to be Britain's second purpose-built high-speed railway (after High Speed 1, the London to Channel Tunnel link). London and Birmingham are to be served directly by new high-speed track. Services to Glasgow, Liverpool, and Manchester are to use a mix of new high-speed track and the existing West Coast Main Line. The majority of the project is planned to be completed by 2033. HS2 Rolling Stock
The HS2 rolling stock are trains for the under-construction High Speed 2 (HS2) high-speed rail line in the United Kingdom. The contract was awarded to a 50/50 joint venture between Hitachi Rail and Alstom, for 54 trains, which will be constructed in the United Kingdom. The trains will be based on an evolution of the Zefiro V300 platform and able to run at the top operational speed of on the HS2 line. The electric multiple units (EMUs) will be long with the option to couple two units together to create a train. Old Oak Common Railway Station
Old Oak Common (OOC) is a railway station under construction on the site of the Old Oak Common TMD, Old Oak Common traction maintenance depot to the west of London in Old Oak Common, approximately south of Willesden Junction station. When built, it is expected to be one of the largest rail hubs in London, at about in length and below surface level. The new station is part of the High Speed 2 line from London to Birmingham, covered by the High Speed Rail (London - West Midlands) Act 2017. This hybrid bill conferred powers to construct and maintain phase 1, including intermediate stations. Birmingham Curzon Street railway station is the planned northern terminus of High Speed 2 on the fringe of Birmingham city centre, England. The new railway will connect Birmingham to via and .
