Recep Gürkan
Recep Demir Gürkan (born 1 August 1964) is a Turkish politician and member of the CHP. He was previously a member of the Grand National Assembly and served as the mayor of Edirne between 30 March 2014 and March 2024. Life and work He was born in İpsala, Edirne Province. After finishing school, Gürkan continued his studies at Trakya University in Edirne and the Anadolu University in Eskişehir. He graduated from the Faculty of Social Science, Department of Administration. Saray Mulk Khanum ( Chagatai: سرای ملک خانم; 1341 – 1408) was the empress consort of the Timurid Empire as the chief consort of Timur, also known as Tamerlane the Great, the founder of the Timurid Empire as well as the Timurid dynasty. By birth, she was a princess of Moghulistan as a daughter of Qazan Khan ibn Yasaur and was also a direct descendant of Genghis Khan. Gürkan Coşkun (1941 – 22 September 2022) or more widely known as Komet was a Turkish painter. Coşkun was born in Çorum in 1941.
