Güler İleri (born 1948) is a Turkish female pharmacist, politician and former government minister. Güler İleri was born into a wealthy and well-established family of Çuhadaroğlu in Zile, Tokat Province, Turkey in 1948. She completed the primary and middle education in her hometown. After graduating from the College of Pharmacy in Ankara in 1972, she returned to Zile. The same year, she established her own drugstore and entered politics. She is married and is mother of two. İleri was a member of the 19th parliament representing Tokat from the Social Democratic Populist Party (SHP) (SHP). Yaşar Güler (born 18 September 1954) is a retired Turkish general currently serving as the Minister of National Defense. He previously served as the 30th Chief of the General Staff of the Turkish Armed Forces from 2018 to 2023. Career He enlisted in the army in 1974, which was effectively the start of his military career. He spent two years prior to his enlistment studying at the Turkish Military Academy. Sinan Güler (born November 8, 1983) is a former Turkish professional basketball player. College career Güler played college basketball at Salt Lake Community College ( JUCO), from 2002 to 2004, and at Carroll College ( NAIA), from 2004 to 2006. Sibel Güler Sağır (born September 28, 1984) is a Turkish taekwondo practitioner. She is a four-time medalist and two-time defending champion at the European Taekwondo Championships since 2004. She also claimed the middleweight division title at the 2005 Summer Universiade in İzmir, but won a silver medal at the 2007 Summer Universiade in Bangkok, Thailand, losing out to Chinese Taipei's Lin An-Ni in the final match.
