Géza Turi
Géza Turi (born 11 March 1974, in Budapest) is a Hungarian people, Hungarian Association football, football player who currently plays for Klaksvíkar Ítróttarfelag, KÍ Klaksvík. Career Whilst at Hungarian side Zalaegerszegi TE, ZTE he played against Manchester United at Old Trafford in a UEFA Champions League qualifier. He came on as a substitute after Saša Ilić (footballer, born 1972), Saša Ilić was sent off for a foul on Ruud van Nistelrooy. He came to the Faroe Islands to be a goalkeeper for GÍ Gøta, which merged with LÍF Leirvík in 2009 into the new club Víkingur Gøta, Víkingur. Géza Turi has been the goal keeper for Víkingur Gøta and the former GÍ Gøta since 2006. He has earlier been a goalkeeper for various football clubs in Hungary. LÍF Leirvík
Leirvíkar Ítróttarfelag, commonly known as LÍF or LÍF Leirvík, was a Faroese football club based in Leirvík. The club was founded in 1928. They merged with GÍ Gøta in 2008 to form Víkingur, in the year of team's 80th anniversary. From 1982 to 1989, and for one final time in 1993, LÍF played in the country's top division, with the best finish being 4th place in 1984 and 1985. The Faroe Islands Cup (, literally the Prime Minister Cup) is the main football cup competition in the Faroe Islands. The first edition was played in 1955. History The HB–TB decade The first decade of the competition was marked by the alternance of titles between HB and TB. Only in its eleventh year, the cup saw a different champion, with B36 defeating rivals HB in the final. Subsequent years In the subsequent editions, the other former finalists also got their first titles; KÍ in 1966, and VB in 1974. 1970 was the only time a final was not played, as the Faroe Islands Sports Association (ÍSF) choose to annul the competition after KÍ, and later VB, refused to play against HB in Tórshavn.
