Gábor Márton
Gábor Márton (born 15 September 1966) is a Hungarian football manager and a former player. Managerial career Zalaegerszeg On 10 February 2020, he was appointed as the manager of Zalaegerszegi TE. He managed to keep the team in the Nemzeti Bajnokság I. At the end of the 2019-20 Nemzeti Bajnokság I season, he was approached by Fehérvár FC. Fehérvár On 8 July 2020, he was appointed as the manager of Fehérvár FC. On 17 February 2021, he was sacked from Fehérvár after 4 defeats in five matches in the 2020–21 Nemzeti Bajnokság I season. MTK Budapest Márton was hired by MTK Budapest in November 2021. He was fired by MTK on 23 April 2022, with MTK winning 3 out of 17 league games under his management. Kozármisleny On 2 March 2023, Márton returned to Kozármisleny, with the club in last place in the second-tier NB II. Zalaegerszegi Torna Egylet Football Club (), commonly known as Zalaegerszegi TE, Zalaegerszeg or ZTE, is a Hungary, Hungarian professional association football, football club based in Zalaegerszeg. Zalaegerszeg has won one Hungarian League title in 2001–02 Nemzeti Bajnokság I, 2002 and one Magyar Kupa title in 2023. History ZTE traces its roots back to 1912, at the time of the Austria-Hungary, Austro-Hungarian Empire. Its first match was a 4–2 defeat to a team from Vasvár. The team was first composed of members of a literary and debating society. ZTE flourished under coach József Vadász, but World War I halted its progress. In 1920, Zalaegerszegi TE, or "Gymanistics Club of Zalaegerszeg," was born. The 2024–25 Magyar Kupa () was the 85th season of Hungary's annual knock-out cup football competition. MOL was the sponsor of the tournament, thus the sponsored name is MOL Magyar Kupa. The winners qualified for the 2025–26 UEFA Europa League first qualifying round. Competition format The Magyar Kupa is played as a knockout tournament. All rounds are played as one-off matches. The final are traditionally held in the Puskás Aréna, Budapest. The competition consists of eighth proper rounds. All rounds are single-match elimination rounds. When tied after 90 minutes first an extra time period of 30 minutes will be played, then penalties are to be taken if still necessary. Paksi FC (''Paks''; ) is a Hungarian professional football club based in Paks. Since its founding in 1952, it has played at either a county or national level. In 2006, it ascended to '' Borsodi Liga'', or NB I, the top division in Hungarian football, for the first time. It plays its home games at Fehérvári úti Stadion. The team colors are green and white. The NB II, currently known as the Merkantil Bank Liga for sponsorship reasons, is the second tier of Hungarian football. At the end of the 2004–05 season, the tournament format was changed from one division of 14 teams to two divisions: ''Keleti'' (Eastern) and ''Nyugati'' (Western), each with 16 teams, though now it's just one league table with 16 teams as of the 2024–25 season. The 2020–21 Nemzeti Bajnokság I (also known as 2020–21 OTP Bank Liga), also known as NB I, is the 122nd season of top-tier football in Hungary. The Nemzeti Bajnokság (, ), also known as NB I or Fizz Liga after its title sponsor, OTP Bank's webshop subsidiary, is a professional association football league in Hungary and the highest level of the Hungarian football league system. Twelve teams compete in the league, playing each other three times, once at home, once away, and the third match is played at the stadium that the last match was not played at.
