György Csanády
György Csanády (; 23 February 1895 – 3 May 1952) was a Hungarian poet, journalist and radio director of Székely origins. He is the author of '' Székely himnusz''. Early life and career Born in Székelyudvarhely (Odorheiu Secuiesc, then part of Austria-Hungary, today part of Romania), Csanády studied in the Reformed Grammar School of his hometown, absolving his ''matura'' in 1913. Subsequently, he earned a degree at the Budapest Academy of Commerce, however, he never pursued a professional career, but lived for and from the literature. Csanády fought in the World War I from 1915 to 1918, when he got wounded and was discharged. After the collapse of the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy, Csanády resettled with his family in Hungary, where he worked as journalist, editor and later director. Székelys
The Székelys (, Old Hungarian script, Székely runes: ), also referred to as Szeklers, are a Hungarians, Hungarian subgroup living mostly in the Székely Land in Romania. In addition to their native villages in Suceava County in Bukovina, a significant population descending from the Székelys of Bukovina currently lives in Tolna County, Tolna and Baranya County, Baranya counties in Hungary and certain districts of Vojvodina, Serbia. In the Middle Ages, the Székelys played a role in the defense of the Kingdom of Hungary#Middle Ages, Kingdom of Hungary against the Ottoman Empire, Ottomans in their posture as guards of the eastern border. Jenő () is a Hungarian male given name, equivalent to Eugene. In Austria and Germany the name is often simplified to Jenö (which in Hungarian is a shorter vowel) and pronounced as German umlaut ö. Farkasréti Cemetery
Farkasréti Cemetery or Farkasrét Cemetery (, ) is one of the most famous cemeteries in Budapest. It opened in 1894 and is noted for its extensive views of the city (several people wanted it more to be a resort area than a cemetery). It comprises tombs of numerous Hungarian notables and it is the most preferred burial place among actors, actresses and other artists (opera singers, musicians, painters, sculptors, architects, writers, poets). The cemetery is also home to the tombs of several scientists, academicians and athletes. Graves are often decorated with noteworthy sculptures. It was provided with parks in the 1950s, when it took on its present appearance and extent. The mortuary hall and the new chapel were built in the 1980s to the plans of Imre Makovecz.
