Goianápolis
Goianápolis is a municipality in central Goiás state, Brazil. It had a population of 11,224 (IBGE 2020 estimate) in a total area of 162.38 km2 (2007). The town is famous for its tomato production and as the birthplace of Leandro and Leonardo, one of the most famous country and western duos in recent Brazilian music. Location Goianápolis, the so-called "state tomato capital", is located 33 km. northwest of the state capital of Goiânia and 11 km. south of the important Goiânia-Brasília highway. It belongs to the Goiânia Microregion. Connections with Goiânia are made by BR-457 / GO-415. It forms boundaries with Anápolis, Terezópolis de Goiás, and Leopoldo de Bulhões. Terezópolis de Goiás is a municipality in central Goiás state, Brazil. Location Terezópolis is located in the Goiânia Microregion, 28 kilometers northeast of the capital, Goiânia. The Altamiro de Moura Pacheco State Park () is a state park in the state of Goiás, Brazil. It protects an area of dry forest beside a major reservoir that supplies water to the state capital. Leandro And Leonardo
Leandro e Leonardo were a Brazilian '' sertanejo'' duo. The two brothers (third and fourth of eight siblings), Leandro (born Luiz José da Costa, August 15, 1961–June 23, 1998) and Leonardo (born Emival Eterno da Costa, born July 25, 1963), were from Goianápolis. History The brothers were raised in a poor family in Brazil, and from a young age worked with their parents on tomato farms and did odd jobs such as shining shoes. Emival convinced his brother to move to the city, and the two practiced performing songs by Chitãozinho & Xororó, Roberto Carlos and The Beatles with Emival typically singing lead as Luiz sang harmonies and accompanied them on the guitar, then began playing locally in a group called ''Os Dominantes''. Leopoldo de Bulhões is a municipality in central Goiás state, Brazil. The total area was in October 2002, and the population was 7,651 in 2020. The elevation is above sea level, one of the highest in the state.
