Gertrud Åström
Gertrud Maria Åström (born 28 July 1954 in Bodträsk in Kalix) is a Swedish business and organization leader. She was President of the Swedish Women's Lobby from 2009 to 2015. Åström previously was CEO of the publishing company Ordfront. Kalix
Kalix (; Kalix dialect: ''Kôlis'' , phonemically ; ; ) is a locality and the seat of the Kalix Municipality in Norrbotten County, Sweden. The name Kalix is believed to originate from the Sami word ''Gáláseatnu'', or "Kalasätno", meaning "The cold river" the ancient name of the Kalix River. It had 7,299 inhabitants in 2005, out of 17,300 inhabitants in the municipality of Kalix. Kalix Löjrom There is a culinary speciality specific to Kalix, called Kalix Löjrom, also referred to as caviar of Kalix. It is basically fish eggs (caviar) of the vendace, but because of the large influx of fresh water from the huge rivers around and in Kalix, this has transformed the taste of the fish eggs, rendering them unique in flavour to this area alone. The Swedish Women's Lobby (; formerly ''Sveriges Kvinnolobby'') (SWL) is a Swedish organization that describes itself as a non-partisan and non-denominational independent umbrella organization for the Swedish women’s movement. It has increasingly represented what academics describe as gender-critical, anti-gender and trans-exclusionary positions, and in 2025 it launched the international NGO Women's Platform for Action International (WoPAI) to promote "sex-based rights" and oppose what they call a "pro-gender movement", a "queer agenda" and the concept of gender identity.
