The 2011–12 Nemzeti Bajnokság I, also known as NB I for short, was the 110th season of top-tier football in Hungary. The league was officially named ''OTP Bank Liga'' for sponsorship reasons. The season began on 15 July 2011 and ended on 27 May 2012. Videoton FC, Videoton were the defending champions, having won their first Hungarian championship at the end of the 2010–11 Nemzeti Bajnokság I, 2010–11 season. Overview The tournament was contested by 16 teams, and Debreceni VSC won the title under headcoach Elemér Kondás, claiming their sixth national title. The team from Hajdú-Bihar county went undefeated throughout the entire season, becoming the first hungarian team since Vasas to win the championship undefeates in 1966, and the first ever club outside of Budapest to complete an invincible season. Kozármisleny (; ) is a town in Baranya County, southern Hungary. It is south-east of the city of Pécs. History The history of Kozármisleny is rooted in the early Bronze Age, as indicated by archeological findings. Roman remains have also been found in the area. The season began 17 July 2015 and will conclude on 8 May 2016. Videoton FC, Videoton are the defending champions having won their second Hungarian championship last season. Last season an extra four teams were relegated to the Nemzeti Bajnokság III. Győri ETO FC, Győr had financial and licensing issues. Kecskeméti TE, Kecskemét, Pécsi MFC, Pécs and Nyíregyháza Spartacus, Nyíregyháza all had licensing issues. For the first time at a Nemzeti Bajnokság I, Nemzeti Bajnokság I seasons, match officials used vanishing foam for Direct free kick, free kicks. In the Groupama Aréna (Ferencvárosi TC, FTC) the goal-line technology was used. Videoton FC, Videoton won the league for the second time, under Joan Carillo, finishing 7 points above Ferencváros.
