''Gazalvishwa'' ( Gujarati: ગઝલવિશ્વ) is a quarterly Gujarati ghazal poetry journal, published by Vali Gujarati Gazal Kendra from Gandhinagar, Gujarat, India since 2006. The journal publishes ghazals, ghazal reviews, critical works and interviews of ghazal poets. History In 2006, The Vali Gujarati Ghazal Kendra was founded for the promotion of Gujarati Ghazal as a literary form of expression and a magazine was also started under its aegis. Rajesh Vyas was a founding editor. In 2017, it was merged into Shabdasrishti. Rajesh Vyas
Rajesh Vyas (Gujarati: રાજેશ વ્યાસ), better known by his pen name Miskin, is a Gujarati poet from India. Born and brought up in Ahmedabad, he completed his doctorate in Gujarati literature. He writes ghazal poetry and columns in various publications. Early life Rajesh Vyas was born on 16 October 1955 in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, to Jatashankar and Vijayaben. He completed his primary education from Sheth Chimanlal Nagindas Vidyalaya, Ahmedabad. He completed his matriculation from Sharadagram, Mangrol. He completed a B.A. in Psychology in 1978, a B.A. in Gujarati literature in 1981, and an M.A. in Gujarati literature in 1983 from Gujarat University. He completed his M.Phil. in Gujarati literature in 1985 from Gujarat Vidyapith. He completed his PhD In 1989 from Gujarat University, under Chandrakant Topiwala. Ankit Trivedi
Ankit Trivedi (born 9 March 1981) is a Gujarati language poet, writer, columnist, and emcee from Gujarat, India. His significant works include ''Gazal Purvak'' (collection of ghazals) and ''Geet Purvak'' (collection of geets). The Indian National Theater in Mumbai awarded him the 2008 Shayda Award for his contribution to Gujarati ghazal. He has received the Takhtasinh Parmar Prize, Yuva Gaurav Puraskar, and the Yuva Puraskar. In 2019, he was awarded a D.Lit. by Gujarat University. Early life Trivedi was born in Ahmedabad, Gujarat to Amarishkumar and Jayshribahen. He took his schooling at Ahmedabad and completed a Bachelor of Commerce from Gujarat University. Trivedi married Bhumika Trivedi on 12 December 2010. They have a daughter named Mitra. ''Kavilok'' (Gujarati: કવિલોક), a publication of Kavilok Trust, is a Gujarati language bimonthly poetry journal published in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. The current editor is Dhiru Parikh and co-editor is Praful Raval. History The Kavilok poetry journal was founded by Rajendra Shah in 1957. The first issue of the journal was published in Mumbai in crown size under the editorship of Rajendra Shah, Suresh Dalal and Jashubhai Shah. From the 32nd issue, Jayant Parekh replaced Jashubhai Shah as an editor. From the 37th to the 66th issue, Priyakant Maniar served as editor with Jayant Parekh. Ghazal
The ''ghazal'' ( ar, غَزَل, bn, গজল, Hindi-Urdu: /, fa, غزل, az, qəzəl, tr, gazel, tm, gazal, uz, gʻazal, gu, ગઝલ) is a form of amatory poem or ode, originating in Arabic poetry.
