Galerías Perinorte
Galerías Perinorte is a shopping center in Cuautitlán Izcalli, State of Mexico, in the northwest part of the Mexico City metropolitan area. The architect was Manuel Rocha Díaz and it was built between 1985 and 1990 and opened in 1992. The main anchors are a Cinépolis multicinema; a Soriana Híper (formerly Gigante) hypermarket and Liverpool and Suburbia department stores. The Perinorte center, as well as Liverpool and Suburbia chains, are all owned by the El Puerto de Liverpool group. Perinorte is part of the Puerto group's shopping center division, Galerías. The Liverpool store originally opened as a branch of Fábricas de Francia, but the chain's stores were all rebranded as either Liverpool or Suburbia in September 2018. Cuautitlán Izcalli
Cuautitlán Izcalli () is a city and one of the 125 municipalities that make up the State of Mexico. Its municipal seat is Cuautitlán Izcalli. It is located in the Valley of Mexico area, and is part of the Metropolitan area of Mexico City. It borders to the north and northwest with Tepotzotlán, to the northeast and to the east with Cuautitlán, to the south with Tlalnepantla de Baz, to the southeast with Tultitlán, to the southwest with Atizapán de Zaragoza and to the west with the municipality of Nicolás Romero. Manuel Rocha Díaz
Manuel Rocha Diaz (1936–1996) was a Mexican architect. He was born in Mexico City in 1936 and died in 1996. He graduated in 1961 at Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Mexico where he studied with Augusto H. Álvarez. In 1960 he spent three months in Japan where he had a big influence on Japanese traditional architecture. In 1962 he married Mexican photographer Graciela Iturbide, with whom he had two sons, Manuel and Mauricio, and one daughter, Claudia who died at the age of six in 1970. He won a contest in 1970 to build the Bella Vista Golf Club in México City, and from there on he had a successful career. Supermercados Gigante
Supermercados Gigante was a large supermarket chain in Mexico. The chain expanded north of the border as well, as it also had locations in predominantly working-class Mexican-American communities of the United States. The supermarket chain was owned by parent company Grupo Gigante, which also operates the restaurant chain Toks, and US retail chains such as RadioShack and Office Depot in Mexico. Supermercados Gigante competed with several other chains, such as Soriana, Comercial Mexicana, Chedraui, Wal-Mart, H-E-B, Falabella (retail store), Falabella, Cencosud and Distribución y Servicio, D&S. Perisur (also Centro Comercial Perisur) is a shopping mall located in the Coyoacán borough in southern Mexico City at the intersection of Insurgentes Avenue South and the Anillo Periférico, next to the UNAM main campus in Ciudad Universitaria and to the upscale Jardines del Pedregal neighbourhood.
