Fortuna Ålesund
AaFK Fortuna (formerly known as FK Fortuna Ålesund) is a Norway, Norwegian women's football (soccer), women's football club from Ålesund that currently competes in 1. divisjon (women), 1. divisjon, the second tier of Women's football in Norway, Norwegian football. It is named after Fortuna of Roman mythology. History The club was founded on 25 August 1991 by outbreakers from SK Guard, and merged with Spjelkavik IL in 1995. They played as Spjelkavik IL/Fortuna in the 1995 season, and was named FK Fortuna Ålesund in 1996. The club's home grounds are Aksla Stadion and (sometimes) Color Line Stadion. After playing 1995–2008 at the second level, the club was promoted and debuted in the 2009 Toppserien, but finished in last position and was relegated. Fortuna was in the 1. divisjon (women), second tier in the period 2010–16 and has played in the third tier since 2017. Color Line Stadion
Color Line Stadion is an association football stadium in Ålesund (town), Ålesund, Norway, and the home of 1. divisjon side Aalesunds FK. It was inaugurated in April 2005 and cost Norwegian krone, NOK 160 million to build. It is referred to as Aalesund Stadion by UEFA, as naming rights arrangements (in this case, with ferry operator Color Line (ferry operator), Color Line) is not included during UEFA competitions. It was the first top-level stadium in Norway to feature artificial turf, which was at the time a highly debated issue. When Aalesund opened the stadium, businessman Olav Nils Sunde donated a statue to the club, which was erected in front of the stadium. Whilst Sunde denied it, the statue bore a very strong resemblance to former Aalesund player John Arne Riise.
