Color Line Stadion
Color Line Stadion is an association football stadium in Ålesund (town), Ålesund, Norway, and the home of 1. divisjon side Aalesunds FK. It was inaugurated in April 2005 and cost Norwegian krone, NOK 160 million to build. It is referred to as Aalesund Stadion by UEFA, as naming rights arrangements (in this case, with ferry operator Color Line (ferry operator), Color Line) is not included during UEFA competitions. It was the first top-level stadium in Norway to feature artificial turf, which was at the time a highly debated issue. When Aalesund opened the stadium, businessman Olav Nils Sunde donated a statue to the club, which was erected in front of the stadium. Whilst Sunde denied it, the statue bore a very strong resemblance to former Aalesund player John Arne Riise. The Norway national under-21 football team, administered and controlled by the Norwegian Football Federation, is the Norway national football team, national football team of Norway for players of 21 years of age or under at the start of a UEFA European Under-21 Championship campaign. The team has reached the European Championship finals three times, in 1998 UEFA European Under-21 Championship, 1998 and 2013 UEFA European Under-21 Championship, 2013, winning bronze medals on both occasions, and again in 2023 UEFA European Under-21 Championship, 2023. The 2008 Tippeligaen was the 64th completed season of top division association football, football in Norway. The season began on 29 March and ended 2 November. SK Brann, Brann were the defending champions, having won their third Tippeligaen championship in 2007. The teams promoted from the 1. divisjon at the end of the previous season were champions Molde FK, Molde, automatic qualifiers HamKam, and play-off winners FK Bodø/Glimt, Bodø/Glimt. The 2005 Tippeligaen was the 61st completed season of top division association football, football in Norway. The season began on 10 April 2005, and was concluded with the last of 26 rounds played on 29 October. 3 points were given for wins and 1 for draws. Vålerenga Fotball, Vålerenga, the winner of this year's season entered the second round of next year's UEFA Champions League, Champions League qualification, while the runners-up (IK Start, Start), number 3 (FK Lyn, Lyn) and the Norwegian Cup winners enter the UEFA Cup qualification round. The Norwegian First Division, also called 1. divisjon () and OBOS-ligaen (due to sponsoring ties with :no:OBOS, OBOS), is the second-highest level of the Norwegian football league system. Each year, the top finishing teams in the 1. divisjon are promoted to the Eliteserien, and the lowest finishing teams are relegated to 2. divisjon. 1. divisjon was previously known as 2. divisjon (1963–1990) and replaced regional league Landsdelsserien (1951–1962) after the latter was dissolved after the 1961–62 Landsdelsserien, 1961–62 season. Eliteserien () is a professional association football league in Norway and the highest level of the Norwegian football league system. Contested by 16 clubs, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation with the Norwegian First Division. Seasons run from March to November with each team playing 30 matches (playing each other home and away). Most games are played on Sunday evenings. Eliteserien was founded in 1937 as Norgesserien (), and the first season was the 1937–38 League of Norway, 1937–38 season. The structure and name of Eliteserien, along with Norway's other football leagues, has undergone frequent changes. Hamarkameratene (), often abbreviated to HamKam or Ham-Kam, is a Norwegian professional football club based in the town of Hamar. The club was founded in 1918, originally under the name Freidig. HamKam were most recently promoted to the Eliteserien in 2021.
