The Fjørtoftfjord Tunnel () is an undersea road tunnel in Sunnmøre, Norway. The tunnel connects the village of Myklebust on the island of Harøya (in Ålesund Municipality) to the island of Fjørtofta (in Haram Municipality). The long tunnel opened on 16 June 2022 and it reaches a depth of below sea level. Nordøyvegen
Nordøyvegen () is a road network in Sunnmøre in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The bridge and tunnel network connects the islands of the former Sandøy Municipality (now part of Ålesund Municipality) and the islands of Haram Municipality to the mainland. The road was built by Skanska for . It provides a faster, ferry-free connection to the mainland for the approximately 3,000 residents of the islands. The road is partly financed by a toll station at the Lepsøy, as of 2022 costing per direction for cars. The project includes crossing four fjords with tunnels and bridges and upgrading and re-routing roads on the islands to meet national standards. A total of seven islands is connected to the mainland using two existing bridges and by building three new bridges, a causeway using fill, and three undersea tunnels. Myklebust is a village on the southern end of the island of Harøya in Ålesund Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The village lies about south of village of Steinshamn. There are ferry connections from Myklebost to Fjørtofta and Brattvåg (both in Haram Municipality) and to Dryna (in Molde Municipality). Fjørtofta
Fjørtoft is an island in Haram Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The island is located in the northern part of the municipality, between the islands of Flemsøya, Harøya, and Midøya and Dryna (both in Molde Municipality). Fjørtoft is a fairly flat island and the highest point is the tall ''Æafjellet''. Agriculture and fishing are the main industries on the island. Fjørtoft Church is located on the northern part of the island. In 2024, there were 114 residents of the island. The Nordøyvegen bridge and tunnel network was completed in 2022. Harøya
Harøya is a swampy island in Ålesund Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. At , it is the largest island in the municipality. The island is located between the islands of Finnøya (to the northeast) and Fjørtofta (to the southwest). Steinshamn, the municipal center, is located at the north end of the island where there is a causeway connecting it to the neighboring island of Finnøya.
