Feneryolu, Kadıköy
Feneryolu is a neighbourhood in the Kadıköy district of Istanbul, Turkey. It covers an area of approximately 1.0 km². Located just inland from the Marmara Sea, Feneryolu is situated between the coastal neighbourhood of Fenerbahçe and the residential area of Fikirtepe. The name Feneryolu (literally "lighthouse road") is believed to refer to the historic route leading to the Fenerbahçe Lighthouse. It is bordered on the north by the Kadıköy neighborhood of Merdivenköy, on the east by the Kadıköy neighborhood of Göztepe, on the south by Bağdat Avenue and the Kadıköy neighborhood of Fenerbahçe, and on the west by the Kadıköy neighborhood of Zühtüpaşa. The neighbourhood benefits from public transportation links, notably the Marmaray commuter rail network via its railway station and local bus services provided by İETT. Feneryolu Railway Station
Feneryolu railway station () is a station on the Marmaray commuter rail line in Kadıköy, Istanbul. It replaced the 145 year old railway station, built by the Ottoman Anatolian Railway. Haldun Taner (16 March 1915 – 7 May 1986) was a well-known Turkish playwright and short story writer. Biography He was born on 16 March 1915 in Istanbul. Ikbal Hanim (; ; 22 October 1876 – 1941), was the Khediva consort of Egypt from 1895 to 1910 as the first wife of Abbas II, the last Khedive of Egypt and Sudan. Şehzade Mehmed Abdülkadir Efendi (; 16 January 1878 – 16 March 1944) was an Ottoman prince, the son of Sultan Abdul Hamid II and his consort Bidar Kadın. Kağıthane (, also ''Kâğıthane''), formerly Sadâbad () and Glykà Nerà (Greek: Γλυκά Νερά, , 'sweet waters') is a municipality and district of Istanbul Province, Turkey. Bağdat Avenue () is one of the most important high streets on the Anatolian side of Istanbul, Turkey. It runs approximately from Maltepe, Istanbul, Maltepe in the east to Kadıköy in the west, almost paralleling the coastline of the Sea of Marmara. Marmaray
Marmaray () is a commuter rail line located in Istanbul, Turkey. The line runs from Halkalı, on the European side, to Gebze, on the Asian side, along the north shore of the Sea of Marmara. Mostly using the right-of-way of two existing commuter rail lines, the Marmaray line linked the two lines via a tunnel under the Bosporus strait, becoming the first standard gauge rail connection between Europe and Asia (all prior connections ran through Russia and used the incompatible Russian broad gauge). The two existing sections of the line were rebuilt and expanded from two tracks to three tracks, to allow for higher capacity with intercity and freight rail.
